are these ever coming out?

"These"? As in you expect more than one? Then most likely the answer is "no".

I do believe we will be getting Babydoll and thatll be about it.

HT will do Babydoll and call it a day. If the movie had done better I could have seen on five girls getting made. But as of now, I think well be lucky to just get Baby.

Blonde then Baby if any.

Baby Doll, then Amber if any...:(

It's too bad they're license whores first, and artists second. Otherwise, they'd do all five, just on principle.

They're probably waiting for the BluRay release before reveiling the figure. It should be long since Black Swanjust got rleased and that was in the cinemas not to long ago

Then, once the BluRay comes and goes it'll be, "Oh, they're probably just waiting for the 10th Anniversary to show the first figure".

That's what they were saying in the Supes thread for a year, that's what they've been saying in the Indy thread for the last three months.

I bet a million dollars the prototype is ready to go, they're just waiting on Warner Brothers or Zack Snyder or whoever it is to say "okay, do it", but all of those suits involved don't give a crap about Sucker Punch anymore and have moved on, and now Hot Toys is stuck holding the bag.

After the disastrous performance of figs like Dastan, Black Widow, Abigail Whistler, The Spirit, Silk Spectre, etc., I think Hot Toys has learned their lesson about new licenses. They've combined the kiss(es) of death of "flash in the pan" movies and female action figures. It's no wonder nobody picked up the Cowboys and Aliens license.

Wait... disastrous performances? Black Widow is fetching above retail (200+) and Abigail isn't too far behind either.

I agree. Those are good selling well liked figures.

Spirit? Crap movie, crap characters.

Dastan? People only bought it for the muscle body.

Silk Specter? She is meh without the rest of the Watchmen.

i guess if its never been what i suggested then HT will have there own reasons. probably timing the releases of there figures around others? we have no idea what production is like for em.

I guess there schedual has more to do with rights like you suggest considering the absolute random timing of their figures.

Admittedly, Black Widow and Abigail Whistler are not the closest points of comparison to the potential Sucker Punch line. Black Widow being part of the Iron Man line and Abigail Whistler having sculpted hair. Both actors behind the roles are sex symbols helps as well. Also, to add to my point, even the Sarah Connor figure with rooted hair turned people off, if the donut head T-1000 didn't come with that figure, they probably would've only sold half.

I can guarantee that if they made 3000 Blades, they only made 1000 Abigails, if that. The fact that Blade sells for $400, and Abigail sells for retail, in comparison that's not that great of a performance, not a disaster of course, but that's not the main point.

There is only a very small portion of the community that buys female figures, sure people bought Black Widow to go on their Iron Man shelf, as she's a cool supporting character. But for an all-female figure line to survive??. . . I've just never seen that happen. You look at companies like Triad/TTL/ZC Girl that do female action figures and there's just no comparison. You don't see people starting up an "official spec + pic" thread for any of those companies. There's just no demand for female action figures. When Hot Toys started off the Watchmen line with Silk Spectre, you could hear the collective "WTF?!?!" across the planet. That was widely regarded as what killed the interest in that line, the line was dead before it even hit the ground.

It's the simple fact that this is a male-dominated hobby and men don't want to play with girl figures, girl=doll, man=action figure. You've got some people here even calling the female figure collectors pervs. There's just some unwritten rules here and not even Sucker Punch can break them down. I'm sure Zack Snyder wanted to make a movie that broke down barriers, but he's gonna have to do a lot better than that.

gotta keep faith... hoping we see one (or both) at the Toyko Toy Show or SDCC.

i'm a bit sick of people TELLING me i'm wrong for liking this movie, and that it sucked. i hadn't seen any trailers, read any reviews and didn't have a clue what it was about before i went to see it, and it surprised me in a very good way.

i think people had too many preconceptions about sucker punch, based on the trailers and the director. i'm not a zack synder fan at all - i think he's a slow-mo ho and his other films are largely style over substance. i still enjoy them, but i just know he's not making masterpieces. sucker punch made me respect him a lot more because he tried something different in terms of plot. it's psychological, emotional, disturbing and very sad. and for once i really liked his style, coz personally i felt the substance was there too. it's obviously one of those where it either affected you or it didn't. unfortunately, i think the ones that were affected by it were in the minority.

plus the soundtrack kicks ass. there are all sorts of clues in the song choices too for those people who didn't get the fact that there were 2 levels of escapism going on (and man i've read some really dumb reviews of the movie on amazon, where people thought zack snyder just "forgot" baby doll was in a mental asylum and wondered why he changed it to a brothel midway through).

basically... i liked this film more than a lot i've seen this year. and i want me a baby doll figure. so make it so HT. they might cut the line REALLY short, but the figure is coming. all the clues are there.
