He really is awesome. One of my favorites now. And I actually think I like the look of him better than the T-800 (except for the one guy that chromed him).

Saw the T700 the other day and it looks rather unimpressive. I think the T800's look way better.

Is the rough finish because Hot Toys believed that there would be a T-700 with rough finish metalwork, or did they see
concept art of the T-800 after being covered in molten steel
and get a little confused?

when HT started work on the 700 all they had was the pre production samples/conceptual stuff. it's been debated to death on here, but i think they had intentions for the rough metal 800's in the film to be 700's but abandoned the concept.

HT ran with it independent of whatever happened to the 700 in the movie.

either way it's a cool fig and a neat step in the T-x00 evolution

Space, money, and I wasnt really a big fan of the movie. The figures are actually a lot cooler than the movie was.

More than anything though is space. I cant keep getting everything that looks cool just because it looks cool, I need to be more selective and get figures I actually have some emotional investment in.

I might keep John and Marcus. I dont know.

Seriously! I so wish I could afford to get the Batman and Hellboy figures, but I already struggle to keep up with Aliens, Predators, Terminators, and Star Wars. Thank God they stopped the Buffy and Freddy & Jason lines.

I understand about the space thing....I don't want to collect a bunch of these figures only to have them stuck in boxes...

I really did like the movie and am kinda relieved about the Connor re-do delay...with all of the other stuff hitting here in July, I'll have a chance to to save a bit for Connor...

Got my T700 factory & full figure yesterday. :banana

Took the T-700, gave it enamel teeth, and repainted him (hammered steel, silver, with some rust/dirt weathering to give it a grizzled t-800 look. And Armed him quite well... ;)

Second pic is with the T-700 Factory to show the differences in original and new paint app.

It's hard to see all the paint changes you did on the 700 in those pics. Can you take better lit ones?

May I suggest that you repose the gun so that it is being carried next to the hip instead of straight out in front. It will help it look more natural. The trigger hand should be right next to his hip and the other arm should be across his body.
