Just got back from picking up Harvey at the post-office. Here are my thoughts - for what they're worth:

The good

Both the Dent and Two-Face sculpts are excellent. I know there's been a lot of discussion around how accurate the Two-Face one is especially, but to my eye it's fantastic. Sure, I didn't compare it scar-for-scar against a still from the film, but that's not something I'd do anyway. They are great representations of both Eckhart and the CGI burns and I don't feel the need to hope for an improved version.

The paint jobs on both heads are great, except for the lower lid lining. The thin brown line could have been a little thinner on both heads. I scraped a knife point very lightly across it on the Dent head, and the lighter line now looks perfect. On the Two-Face head, it all depends on the angle at which I look at it - from the side it's too dark, from front on it actually catches the light a little and almost disappears -the effect makes the eye even more realistic.

Suit tailoring is ok. I actually like the shirt fabric a bit better than previous ones since I think it looks more realistic in scale. The burn effect on the Two-Face jacket is excellent, but...

The bad

The burnt jacket is thick. I mean really thick. The more I have to do with them, the less I like the True-Type shoulders and the way jackets are tailored around them. It's not that I think they're too wide as such, but think the lack of any real slope from neck to deltoid is the main reason why, if you move the arms anything other than by their sides, the collar of the jacket gapes unattractively. The thickness of this on the Two-Face side makes it even worse and more obvious. If they hadn't used the burnt fabric on the underside of the collar, that might have made things better,

The coin is seriously undersized. He might also have a big thumb (with an ugly seam, but I actually hardly noticed the seam after first seeing it - it helps that I have that side turned away) and that might be making the coin look smaller, but the coin is definitely undersized.

The paint aps on the gun need work - it looks cheap.

I wonder what other accessories could have been included with the figure - a carbon fiber gun to snatch away from someone in the witness stand? An oil-barrel rigged to blow? I admit there's not much else that HT could have included, but compare this figure to the BR Joker and he's feeling seriously light on accessories. The additional jacket just doesn't seem like all that much. In fact, I would even have been happy to pay a little extra and have Harvey come with the Batsignal. It doesn't look like Gordon will be happening, and Dent did use it to summon Batman.

The nit-picky
I wish HT would stop lining their jackets, or at least their jacket sleeves. Sure it's a sign of "quality" but it also adds additional bulk and makes things like getting the shirt cuffs (mine were really tight) to show slightly out the bottom of the jacket really hard

The bag the coins and button come in is heat-sealed. I KNOW I'm going to lose them, it would be better if that bag was resealable. (I've put them in my own, very small zip-loc bag now)

I would have loved for HT to go the extra mile and make the name plate on the stand reversible - have Harvey Dent printed on one side, turn it around and it says Two-Face on the other.

All in all, awesome figure that I'm really glad I have. Got it at a really good price too (which helps my feelings about it being accessory-light). Now USPS just needs to find the BR Joker Joe sent me and I'll have all the HT Batstuff I want.

Thanks mate - a nice way to cheer up the day after dental surgery (wisdom teeth are now gone, HT could use my face as reference for their Godfather sculpt). As for the BR Joker, Joe's looking after me, so I know I'll get him sooner or later.

damn-so ur HT bank robber joker is MIA??

I pre ordered with Joe too,but had to back out at the last minute due to bills i had coming in and NOT enough cash to go around for stuff that i wanted!!!
It is the first time i have ever renigged on ordering something and i feel bad as for it...I wonder if Joe would have any available still.....

Yeah, but Joe has managed to source a replacement and is all ready to send it out once USPS officially admits to stuffing up. Sure the wait sucks but ^^^^ happens.

As far as I'm aware Joe doesn't have any available - I know he had to find some extra for the few of us that seem to have had theirs lost in the post. Still, can't hurt to ask him - he's been great through these post hassles.

I got my HT Two Face yesterday and liked it a lot better in person than I did the pics. From all the pics I saw... ALL of them, the quality looked weak and the suit looked baggy but thats noth the case in person. I barely did any fiddling.

Can't say I like the "skin technology". To me it looks cheap... but in my eyes the Two Face head is just flawless. Perfect likeness and detail. Theres no need whatsoever to alter this in any way, its just a good way to ruin a 200 dollar figure's head.

the Eckhart likeness on the fll Harvey face IMO is a little off. Its just weak. You can tell its him but its not as convincing as the half face. There's just something not right. Its one of the worst likenesses in the line.

Overall though I think this figure is just killer. I don't like how people ^^^^^ about the lack of acessories with this guy. He's basically two figures in one! They gave him a whole other blazer and head. Thats something that could have easily been an exclusive.

''I would have loved for HT to go the extra mile and make the name plate on the stand reversible - have Harvey Dent printed on one side, turn it around and it says Two-Face on the other.''

This is a very valid point, and gives me the craps too. What if you want to dispaly just Harvey on there, you've got to have it saying 'Two Face' aswell..........dodgy. And it wouldnt be hard to do, just making that little plaque removable and double sided, very simple.

Yeah, it's the same problem I have with my Superman 2-in-1. He's never going to be displayed as Clark (in fact various bits of Clark are slowly being canabalised for other figures, one of his hands has ended up on Indy, his socks on Two Face, his shirt could very soon be dirtied up for an alternate burnt Two-Face, etc) so there's no reason for it to say "Clark Kent" on it. It would be an additional process that might not even be possible - maybe whatever machine they run it through to put the writing on one face would destroy the other writing if it were run through twice, but it'd be nice to have it.

If I do get this. I dont care about the Harvey Dent figure,because...well hes just a man in a suit. Only in it for Two-Face.

This would look good too if the eyes were photoshopped to stare at the mirror.

has somebody got pictures of the figure still packed in the box? a overviewing shot of the figure and accessoires

So anyone who has bought this figure, what's your verdict? Is it worth getting for the price? How happy are you with it?

TBH, it is my least favourite TDK figure. Don't play around posing him much, as the futzing takes so ling for the jacket and collar/tie to look right each time.

So the excitement and fun factor has pretty much worn off, whereas my other TDK figs are going strong.

It is, however, a great figure in my opinion, but perhaps could have been slightly cheaper than the Bats/Jokers.

I think it depends on your feelings for the character and his portrayal in TDK.

As Snake pointed out, various posing takes more effort than other TDK figures because of the stiffness of the burnt jacket, but if you really like the character, you can get past that and just have fun with the figure, which I have. I'm very happy with him and for me he's worth the price. You just have to decide for yourself how much having this figure would mean to you.

^ I really like the character of 2-face, also he reminds me of another character from some other show, so all the more reason I wanted to get him eventually. But my concern was that from technical standpoint, he holds up in detail and quality compared to other TDK figures.

He's every bit of the quality of the other figures, the only downsides with deal with the futzing when you pose it around, the visual appearance of the figure is on par with the rest of the line.

Cool thanks, I might just get him now :).
