Sean that expression would have been perfect! I tried going for this look with the Stark suit but have to wait for a better body alternative. Having a "Dent" in my collection interests me more than having a Two-Face.

Not sure why but it does.

Well I imagine it's because Eckhart had more screen time as dent. Two-Face really only had enough screen time to be of a visual impact, which is why I favor him, his look is so fascinating to me, but Harvey was the only person who was able to become a character. Two-Face never really became a character, he was just the dark conclusion to Dent's life, but he never became a person of his own.

Nolan's said he's dead, and apparently the script even says his back/neck is snapped in the fall. TDK's story was meant to be the rise and fall of the White Knight and solidifying Wayne's committment to being the Dark Knight.

Oh o.k. I didn't know that, well we are left to believe he's dead so there you have it then. I guess his character served its purpose then, even if VERY brief :D

To be honest I don't want to see a part 3 but you and I know it WILL happen and imo will not be so good. DC villains suck imo.

I want to see part 3, Nolan's got a great way of telling stories in his movies, and I think part 3 will be more like Begins, focusing on Batman vs. other heroes or villains.

K IF he focuses back on Batman like he did in Begins i'm all for it but we'd still have to have a villian. I say focus on Wayne/Bats for the majority of the film and bring on the Ridler but make him even more dark than the Joker.

Dark attire and deep voice, almost to monsterize the character........just a thought.

I really don't care about the villain, I care most that it focuses on Wayne/Batman, particularly now that not only is he disliked by Gotham, but he's wanted as a murderer, I want to see the emotional toll that has on him, etc.

In these types of stories/movies you need a villain, I mean what else would motivate him? Rachael is dead. As much as the character Rachael annoyed me at times she was crucial to his true motivation.

There isn't someone to "slap" some sense into him anymore :D

Well ya, you need to motivator, I just mean to me, it should be just that, a motivator, but not so much a character. Crane and Ra's motivated Bruce's actions, but you never got to know them very much, the focal point was Bruce, and it's that sort of balance I'd like to be prevalent in the 3rd act.

Interestingly, I dislike the expression on Dent, other than burn accurracy, it's my only issue with the set. Where the set's a two in one, it would have been nice if there were stronger contrast between the two sides. Dent's emotion is essentially his Two-Face emotion, just minus the scars. I think it would have been neat if that head conveyed the charismatic, optimistic politician side of Dent from the earlier moments of the film.

Agreed. Not too goofy though. Something subtle.

The copy of the script that I have says that Dent is dead (can't remember where I downloaded it from otherwise I'd give the link, but it seems to be a late version/shooting script. It's really interesting to compare it to the final film, since it shows some changes that were made in the editing of the film, most notably the mob meeting scene).

That said, however, that was written before Ledger died, so it was likely planned that any third film would have brought back the Joker as the main villain, and so would not have also included Two-Face (please let's not get into debate on Joker recasting!). If the decision is made not to bring back the Joker, they might decide to bring back Two-Face. If called out on it, there is always some verbal tap-dancing they could do saying that the man who was Dent died and was replaced by Two-Face. Personally though, I'd rather see a new villain - I think they finished the Two-Face story arc in Dark Knight...finished prematurely, but they finished it.

we all know that Rachel is the Phantasm =)

i remember reading an interview with mr eckhart where at first he said two-face was dead, but then a few months later in another interview he talked about maybe writing in that harvey was in a coma and would come out of it in the new movie.

Really? Nolan must have had second thoughts after Heath died. I heard Aaron wanted Harvey to be alive, but Nolan said, nope he's dead.

It seems somewhat logical to me to bring him back. How else would Batman get redeemed? Sure Gotham's White Knight would be lost, but Batman would take up the mantle in his place.

Plus if Harvey is really dead, then the Joker was right. Batman broke his one rule.

I think the final irony was that the Joker did win. They just needed to keep it quiet to keep Gotham's spirit's up. I dont think we will see Two Face again. As much as I'd love it, I just dont see it happening. I always pictured Batman's redemption coming from Gordon finally coming clean. Its hard to say now that HL is gone, what direction things will go in. With everyone having signed on for two movies, Nolan must have had at least a vague idea where the story was going to go. With the Joker still around, that leaves plenty of room for the truth about Dent to come out. Not to mention Ramirez being left alive.

Buttmunch - I know what interview you're talking about with Eckhart saying Nolan told him Two Face was dead, and it actually wasnt that long ago. I think its fairly set in stone at this point, unless its all a put on...

Remember that Two-Face never got retribution for Rachel's death from Gordon and Batman (Batman survived the gunshot)...so TF attempting to assassinate or kill Gordon and Batman could be plenty of conflict in the third film.
