Super Freak
I guess this thread is as good as any for this news:
Eckhart was on the Tonight show yesterday for a new romantic comedy he is in. Conan asked him directly about Batman 3. He asked if he was coming back. Eckhart said he thought Two-face was dead and that Heath was indeed meant to go on an be in the next film. He said he would love to come back and play Two-face again if Nolan brings him back.
So nothing really new there, but it is good to know he would come back if asked. Maybe if it was just for the flashbacks of those "5 murders" that everyone likes to bring up. It will be interesting to see what they do, especially since it sounded like the Joker was a vital part of part 3's storyline. I wonder if Nolan will recast if he feels Joker is that important to their planned story. He recasted Rachel because of her importance to the story so it isn't out of the question, but those would certainly be big clown shoes to fill.
I always had the thought that they purposely didn't kill the Joker off in DK, because in the 3rd, they were going to follow up on the 'Joker being incarcerated in Arkham, and then going down the whole Harlee Quinn, Doctor' storyline, which would've been AWESOME with the Nolan seriousness, and realistic touch. But imho that just can't be now. I really don't want to see the joker recast period
Perhaps something along the lines of a crazy riddler like so many have theorised, but tbh i really don't know. The whole film will have massive shoes to fill, to even be comparable to the DK, imo
