Frankly, though, I'm tired of waiting. We know that HT is clearly proud of this guy because of the fact that they're showing off a figure that was announced a year ago, so I really wish they'd do some of those old fashioned "backstage" pics with a before and after (and finally reveal the Wayne head).:lecture

Well it's a good idea nonetheless.

:lol

Well EB did swappable eye pieces for the first EB GOD Bruce Lee. So the idea doesn't sound that far fetched.

If I'm not mistaken, those were just eyes. Similar to the hulks. Talking about the entire eye plate within the cowl, with different sets of eyelids. And yeah, it's not far fetched because I know HT are fully capable of pulling it off....whether they will or not is another story.

Nope, odds are you were probably typing as I was.:D Seriously, though, I'd dig a "Suped up" Bane with "Take controwall of youah Citeh" eyes, regular eyes and "fierce" eyes.:lecture, but I'd also totally be up for a Batman with the option to have the "panther" squint and a neutral set. The good thing about this figure is that it seems like it's all about the lighting. A lot of these pics look like they've got the "squint" due to shadows, while others appear to have a more neutral look at different angles, with that, the PERS, and the expressive mouth plates, we may be set on that front.:lol

Most of the time it is due to lighting even in the movie itself. But once you change direction of the head and lights, it'll destroy the illusion. Similar to why Nolan and co. updated the suit. If memory serves, practicality wasn't the only reason for the update...he said that the original suit wouldn't hold up under brightly lit scenes, such as the interrogation scene. Under bright lights, it'll break the realism because we the audience will find all the flaws of the rubber suit.

Which is why I want HT to step forward and step up their game. Rather than play follow up like they have been for the past 2 years, innovate and provide us swappable eye plates. I've always wanted to give my dx12 the pose from the RISE poster; head slightly tilted back with his eyes focused on us. But it can't be done because as you know, when you look down, your eyelids follow. At the moment, if you were to have the figure look down, he either looks crazy or he has the "Wth is that smell??" look.

If they did remove the hs, I'm sure people who bought it would flip out. For me, if they knocked off like 20% of the price, I wouldn't mind. Don't intend on displaying him without the cowl.

When the MK III Bd version came out, we were promised a different tony sculpt. But failure to get approval, HT informed the fans that the sculpt will be from the MK II...fans were pissed! Cancellations left and right.

Ah, that's true, I suppose. If really like to see HT start innovating again, but, for the time being, this is one hell of a release, and, even discounting stuff like eye plates, it seems pretty damned definitive.:lol Another innovation that I'd like to see HT tackle: real gloves with articulated fingers housed within.:lecture

Well the only thing you are mistaken with is that you thought what they did was similar to Hulk, which is not right. Actually there were two different plates with eyes on them, one plate was looking sideways and the other plate had eyes looking straight. not like the Hulk at all. The Hulk eyes are pretty much the moveable eyes introduced after EB abandoned the swappable eye plate idea and went for the moving eyes individually with sticks. So the swappable GOD eye plate idea is similar to your idea but without the eye lids I guess.

It's gonna take some really intelligent engineering to pull that off, since you want the eye lids to be different to.

Did Hot Toys do anything to fix the issues the fans were concerned about?

Agreed. And I like the idea of real gloves with articulated fingers.

YO, HTs, you need some thinkers for your team?? You got two right here! Batfan and yours truly.

No, I think what Wolf is saying is that they should keep PERS but include interchangeable eye lids like they do with the mouths.

Nope, basically, as far as Batman would go, the eyelids would pop out and you could change expressions, directions, etc.; PERS would still work the same way.

Pretty ingenious idea then, I guess you could remove the PERS plate then put the swappable eye lid plate in then put the PERS back in again. Actually doesn't sound too hard at all, now that I think about it.

It's really not that hard tbh. The pers plate is a separate piece from the cowl. All HT needs to do is magnetize that bee yotch and viola, you got variety.

That's a negative my captain. They even went on record giving fans the option of canceling their POs.

Then again, it was a long time ago. HT arent the same company as they used to be.

Personally, I think The Joker would be great, with that being said, I'd be perfectly satisified if they bookended this release with a 1/4 scale Begins Batman, as a sort of "Alpha and Omega; the beginning and the end." That being said, hypothetically speaking, let's say they did make Bane. The swappable eyes thing you were referring to was probably PERS, but what if they reverse engineered the "interchangeable faces?" How cool woul it be if the top part of Bane's mask came off to reveal a Pers panel, but the exposed parts of his face also were removable. A lot of people say that "a large portion of Hardy's performance was captured in his eyes," and then others argue that "there was much more than just eye movement, though, such as his brows, etc." Well, imagine if they actually did include swappable face played with different levels of "expressiveness" to show off the PERS. Forgive me, my imagination gets the better of me and I wind up going off on a tangent.:lol

Yeah, interchangeable top of his head would be cool with the pers. It could have interchangeable eyelids too with angry, neutral squinty, and regular opened ones.

Yep. That's why I liked the idea if they ever did Bane again, because of the way the mask is designed, you could literally pot the whole top off (leaving the exposed PERS stick, a solid piece, and the eyeballs exposed, and have interchangeable expressions for his eyes.

Yeah, but they still gave them a headsculpt, since HT haven't created a different Wayne head in 1/4 scale, unless they've been buying up EB's overstock, I think we'll see something.:lol

:exactly:

Dude! Don't say that out loud! We gotta get in there first!!

Dammit batfan! You just gave it away!!!!!:gah:

I think Play Imaginative might put a stop to it before we do.:lol

Well, thank you sir. I appreciate that. To be fair, though, if we're letting our imaginations run wild, **** interchangeable brow plates; I want pre-programmed animatronic figures with silicon skin that can walk, perform scenes, and recite lines from the flick.:lol

They should have a figure of the guy in TDKR that said "How many of there are you, son?" And "You can't stop twelve million people from leaven' this island."
With a robot op feature for saying those lines, with a sort of scared/sad face with a tear going down and a neutral smiling head. Only the smiling one would have PERS.

Ok looks like it can be done then but I doubt Hot Toys will do it.

I hope a lot people cancelled then.

What do you mean by that? Like now they listen to their fans?
