You couldn't even see his eyes and if you could, you could just make them out) with the lighting at SDCC. They had the over head lights that cast the shadow down on his eye holes that made it look perfect.

The coming soon teaser? I don't think that's a very good example unless you have hawkeyes or something.

That looks absolutely stunning though.

That it does, sir; that it does. It's kind of funny that, in the presence of this guy, those other figures might as well not even be there, as far as my peripheral vision goes.:lol

I would have ordered it, no question. But seeing it against the 1/6th's, it makes them all look inferior. I mean look at those 1/6th figures. They look like puny 6 inchers.

Then there's this cinematic Batman. Thats absolutely gorgeous looking like it literally stepped out from the screen.

Eh, but where does that stop? Why not just go 1/3... then when you're then why not just 1/2... then when you're there... why not just go 1/1.

!!!

He looks phenomenal, but what would your reaction be if that was a 1/4 scale Tony Stark and this guy was in 1/6th, instead? Overall, it's the quality of the piece that impresses me; the size is secondary (I'm going to get a lot of **** for this, aren't I?).:lol

Exactly. I'd think it was just as awesome in 1/6th scale, if that were what it was.

For me. This will be my only 1/4 figure. I am just a huge fan of the Nolan trilogy. And this is a must have. But my collection is still gonna be 1/6 . The only way I can see myself getting another 1/4 is if they make a MOS superman.

This will be my only 1/4 scale figure, as well. A Superman would be awesome, but I'd also be open to either a Begins Batman (my personal preference) or, maybe, one of the villains to bookend this piece.

I am actually getting this guy because I missed out on every other batman figure to date. And soon they will be focusing on the new Batman figures so I getting this guy is a must for me

That's another good point. Before you know it, it'll be all about the Benjamins (Afflecks, that is).

I don't think you'd know a good Batman figure if it came up and smacked you in the face with a Batarang

lol, people was the same when the DX12 first arrived... of course the time gave the reason to me. And now everyone agrees with me about the DX12.

No, I agree with you about the DX 12, but this is nothing like the DX 12; in fact, if this was the DX 12, I may have been open to buying it. Pointing out the obvious doesn't make you right all the time. In this case, you aren't.:lol

Am I the only one who dislikes this figure?

No another person admitted at the beginning when the first Batman STGCc pic was shown that they didn't like it either. So I don't think you are the only one you are just in the minority.

BTW what don't you like about this figure?

Yeah would love a MOS 1/4 so I don't have to want to buy the PF because the head sculpt sucks on that.

So you wouldn't want a 1/4 scale HT Ledger Joker? :wink1:

I did say one of the villains. Personally, pieces like these are better in small doses, and, as much as I want to see an awesome HT Joker with a Kato suit, I think a Begins Batman would represent the trilogy better, whereas this suit and The Joker would be more TDK specific, if you will. That being said, if they made a Joker that was half as definitive as this Batman is, you could consider me interested.:lol

Well, it's now officially been September for a day. We should be seeing those in hand pics of the other faceplates on the head and that Wayne sculpt any day now.:lol

It really will be one hell of a day when that "Now available in Hong Kong" Facebook status pops up and OMG photo threads start being posted.:drool

I see what you are saying, but 1/6th figures look too toyish an have that action figure look to me. However, they have their advantages as it is easy to create and design dioramas for them. So when I want to have back ground dioramas I will chose 1/6th for them. For example I would not consider a 1/4 scale MCU Dirorama for the EB joker.

When it comes to wanting something that has real presence and looks like something that belongs in a museum I go for 1/4 and above. However, like you said where does it end 1/2 or 1:1? for me it ends at 1/3rd but ideally 1/4. I am just not interested in anything bigger than that scale as I don't feel I need nearly an item that is either half the size or is the size as a whole person in my room.

Yeah I kind of agree, which is why I am glad there isn't that many 1/4 scale figures. I feel they are only reserved for certain figures. Like I really love Nolan Batman Trilogy so I really want something that is bigger than just small action figures to represent this and I thus, I feel 1/4 is the way to go for this lisense for me anyway.

I knew it! :hi5:

I think we can assume that there'd be another teaser within this week, followed by the final product pics. I'm guessing it would be Spider-Man.
