I like to think I’ve been selective but the reality is I have barely a passing interest in marvel/Star Wars etc so when something more niche gets announced and I get caught up in all the hype and then realised I didn’t like the movie that much or it’s my least favourite version of the character so that new figure excitement runs out quick.

I was pretty excited for these when they was first shown but as much as I love T1 I’m pretty meh on the rest of the franchise.

My most recent figure in was John Wick and I look at that figure wishing it was literally any other version of wick. Most of those interesting accessories wasted.

With the current releases and announcements none of them are must haves for me, they are T2 and Prey not T1 and predator. Might end up regretting cancelling the Feral because I bet that will look awesome in hand but…idk I enjoyed that movie once and il probably never go back to it.

Anyway I’ve hijacked this thread enough back to Terminator

I will always be more T1, than 2. So I get you.
I myself am getting something different entirely, today.
Heavy Mecha Cherno Alpha from Pacific Rim. Been hot on this movie ever since and especially that Jaeger.

I wanna have a good amount of representation of franchises I dig. Sometimes one figure is enough, as with PR, cause everybody
donedid Gipsy to death. But I feel more and more content with me getting less and less, until I'm finally out.

And then it's onto curating my collection!

I swapped the head from the one well-lit picture onto this one where I like the proportions. Amazing that this is the same sculpt. Without the overhead light emphasizing that V shape in the forehead and the top of the glasses, he looks so much better.

I'm in no rush to order (I already have enough releases lined up this year, don't need to be first batch from kit), but I've decided I'm definitely getting this.

As expected. Looks so much better there.

Sculpt looks better proportioned, and sunglasses even look slightly more passable.

Still has issues of course but much happier.

The glasses part of the shades themselves are still WAY too big!

So the endoarm does still swap out at the shoulder, it's just not a seamless elbow anymore.

edit - ah sure it says it in the specs. I should probably read those. I wouldn't say it's ''newly developed'' though. Maybe the shoulder joint is but the arm overall looks the same as the one on MMS117.

Things line up pretty well. Maybe the nose is a bit too bulbous and the hair is a touch too receded at the temples. Chin could do with being a little bit flatter and wider too. The glasses are very much throwing it off the most though.

Definitely sucks that the endo-arm isn’t seamless anymore, but nice to see that it’s still a ball socket attachment at the shoulder. That means that L&T Thor arms should work on this in case anyone wants to do a jacketless look with seamless arms. Skintones may not match up, though.

It does make me wonder why they chose against the seamless look on this, though? They appear to have success with the silicone for L&T Thor arms, the Hono Wolverine figures, Wonder Woman ‘84 and WB100, and their most recent release, Bane. Currently, the BD T800 2.0 has seamless arms as well based on what we’ve seen so far, unless they change that in production

At least now with these two figures having been developed at the same time they will look like the same guy, there'll be more consistency between them - for those of us who may have been bothered by the fact that DX10 and DX13 looked very different from eachother with entirely differently shaped heads and so on.

Knew it. The red line shows how wrong the jaw is.
Needs to be WAY more square. And that's only ONE problem.
Way too old forehead, shape of the shades is wrong, upper lip needs to be thinner,
nose needs to be smaller.

Everyone has different and often conflicting ideas of what's wrong with the sculpt. Lets face it, what would really need to happen is a complete do-over. Both on this and the BD sculpts. Back to the drawing board. They've not managed to do it. They've produced brand new ''ballpark, kinda/sorta, in a certain light'' likenesses. And the same could always have been said of their previous attempts on MMS117, DX10 and DX13.

But they're not going to redo anything. These are what we're getting.

Do you know of any HT muscle bodies with ball jointed shoulders and double jointed elbows? I'm not very well-versed in HT bodies anymore.

Some of the poses do suggest double-jointed elbows to me, other than the Endo arm of course.

Why would it be later? Everything is there, except the head.



Then maybe this is where you should stop?
I'll stop this year, altogether, cause the quality, across the board:
cause the quality on 1/6, Transformers, 6", whatever, is just not nearly enough for these prices
and I refuse to give these companies my money any longer and I WANT to be done.

Well I thought it’s soon considering HT’s announced figures and production schedules, they are normally that fast at turning figures around.

I was wondering the same, though I do think they are the same.

The problem with the solicitation photos is that their lighting creates a bright reflection on the glasses on top of the nose, emphasizing that v shape.
In the secret base shots, the lighting is softer, and the position of the glasses creates some shadows underneath the eyebrows, which compensates for the wrong shape.

If you focus purely on the shape of the glasses, they are still wrong here.
