Hi , I've been collecting sideshow G.i.joe and Hot Toys Military figures for a while now and due to a recent watching of the Terminator franchise filmography I've come quite interested in the line-up of HT terminators.Luckily I have a little shelf space left I'm wondering which one are the nicest,or the best bang for the buck since they're a bit old and going from a range of 100-300 bucks on ebay. Therefore I turn to you,I'm new at this forum thing and even though I've been a member of other such sites this is actually my first post ever so I ask of you to please bare with me.
Thank you

First off, Welcome to the show! Secondly, HT Terminators are well worth the investment. IMO, just about every figure is a homerun. The T-800 is absolutely awesome and the T-1000 is coming up this month. Endos are beautiful but very fragile. The TS John Connor makes for a great display, too.

I'm quite a fan of the Terminator series, and must say the job on them is quite superb. You don't really get to appreciate them until you actually have them in your possession. The T-800 is amazing!
I have the T-800 Endoskeleton Battle Damaged, T-800, T-700, T-600, and T-600 Weathered Rubber Skin Version, T-1000 in Sarah Connor outfit, and the T-1000 on pre-order.

All of them are excellent. You might need to customize the hair on the T-1000 in Sarah Connor outfit to give her the wet look she had in the movie, but other than that the figures are amazingly sculpted, and are very posable to resemble many parts of the film. I highly recommend them. I've also been collecting the larger pieces like the 1:1 Endoskeleton, HCG 1:2 Endoskeleton, etc.

In regards to prices, the only one piece of Hot Toys Terminator that I would probably spend $300.00 is on the T-800 Battle Damaged Endoskeleton 1/6 Scale, and even then it's quite high for a 1/6 scale in my opinion. Yet, this one is harder to find, so I'll give it the credit to be higher in price. lol
All others you can get for under $200.00 a piece. You can get an even better price from one of the freaks most of the time so stay tuned. :)

Hope this helps!

The T-800 Battle Damaged in my opinion is worth just as much, but since its scarce, it will be really difficult to find one under $300.00. If you do, congrats!! ;)
I bought mine off a second hand closed box for about $275.00. I just couldn't wait. Now they're going for like $300 -$500.00 if you find one.

I was watching one on Ebay and the last time I check it was at 260 with about a day left so it sounds to me like you had yourself a good deal ! I can't help but notice that no one has mention Sarah Connor and it's quite honestly the one that got me started on the idea of buying a few in the line-up,I remember I had a Mcfarlane variant of her a couple of years ago and the thought of having a 12 inch of Miss Conor sounds that much better of an idea

just be careful with the T-800 because some peeps here have mentioned the lapels falling off the jacket.

Sarah Connor is also great. :)
I don't own that one, but I do have the T-1000 in Sarah Connor outfit and I've got her in an awesome pose. :)
In all honesty, they are all great. The only thing I would mention is to be careful if you get that T-800 BD Endo. The smaller parts on this piece are delicate. Once you break one, you'll thing twice on spending $300.00 again. :horror

Original HT Endo > Battle Damaged, and released prior to it. ;)

And yes, it's well worth the price. The figure and all it's articulation, working "pistons," etc., needs to be held to be truly appreciated.

This helps indeed
I was also wondering if they were "working parts",the last terminator figures I had were from Mcfarlane and let's be honest there's a huge step between Mcfarlane toys and 12 inch sideshow/Ht
all and all this is very appreciated thanks guys
and to say i was somewhat apprehensive about posting

Yes, many. And on top of that, the eyes light up. You really can't go wrong picking one up, even at the higher secondary market prices (there's a reason they're that high ;)). I was surprised by HT's RoboCop who's still my favorite figure. But when I got the original 1:6 Endo, I was blown away by all the working parts. The light-up eyes were the icing on the cake. Again, it's one of those figures that you really need in hand to be truly appreciated.

dont miss out on the T-700 as well. think of it as a bargain T-800 endo with a different color scheme. :]

There is a possibility that Hot Toys will be doing a new endoskeleton so maybe wait to find out for sure. Of course thats easy for me to say as I have the previous 2 and don't have to worry about rising ebay prices.

You can't go wrong with any of Hot Toys 4 recent T2 'human' figures though - T-800, Sarah Connor, T-1000 in Sarah Connor disguise, and T-1000. Regular T-1000 is only just coming out now so would still be a preorder.

if Hot Toys issues another Endoskeleton, what do you think will be improved on? I'd love to see a shiny chromed one like the cinemaquette one.

Wow, nam. You were actually nice to this new boardie. Especially considering the topic.:nana: And it seems like you're rubbing off on me. I was a little irked by this thread.:slap

That's about all they can do to improve upon it, but chrome/silver finish either is cheap and chips, or never dries so I dunno if they'll even try. Besides, the OG really is 1:6 perfection. However, I wouldn't hold my breath on a new version. They've already released two variants of the original (BD and T-700), so it's less likely they'll milk it a third time.

HT's 1:6 T-800 Endo thread wasn't on the first page (second third or even fourth for that matter) and doing a search will get you the phonebook, especially here. So in this case, the newbie starting the new thread was warranted. :lol
