A 1/6th figure can easily be a 'grail piece' to someone. There are people like me for whom a 1:1 bust is just a nice looking but ultimately useless collectible that you can't do anything with.

You know a-dev... It's plain to see that you and I are just not ever going to agree on much bro. But I do respect your right to express your opinion. I will just leave it at that. :lol Mike

Sure OK :peace Though that makes it sound like we disagree a lot and I didn't realise that! You've obviously held your tongue on many an occasion! :lol

:lol Sorry. For me though if I was getting 1:1 nothing less than the full endoskeleton would do....ok maybe an endoskeleton arm since that was a real prop used in T2. Or the 1:1 "rosebox" shotgun or Aliens Pulse rifle because of the coolness of those weapons. Busts though....:dunno don't see the appeal.

Indeed 1:1 bust are pretty cool but there is the issue of space though but I totally agree with endo on the fact that if you're going to spend 500 bucks on a piece going that route makes sense especially considering the quality of the "craftsmanship" in such a piece.I do not own any and I just can't imagine where I would put it in my appartement.I came close to buying one second hand at a local comic book/hobby shop,Lord Vader is the closest you can get to grail piece IMO but truth be told,a T-800 full size bust is kick *ss I do suppose the eyes light up on such a piece, right ?

:gah:..................... Ok I'm done.

Yes the eyes light up. And when you shut them off they dim out real slow. Very coooool.

Agreed....theres no other Arnold out there that have a better likeness than the Hot Toys T-800 figure!! The Sideshow 1:1 Arnold bust looks deformed and is not even 1:1!!!,.. there was a talk about that at the rpf about it,..

I know nothing is perfect and people will nit pick things to death but to me this bust is pretty damn close. And to say its DEFORMED??? I laugh at that statement. Maybe you haven't seen this thing in person. It truly is a sight to behold. This is one of my GRAIL pieces:

You can laugh as much as you want,.,it is what it is

Yes,..i have seen it,..more than once,..the hair looks HORRIBLE sculpted! it's really bad sculpted!! REeeeeeeeeeALLLY BAAADD...the eyes are wrong, too, check the position of the endo eye,.. it doesn't look to the same direction as the other one,..

and the likeness suffers big time!! THE FACE IS TOO THIN!! DEFORMED! This is a mold of a mold in case u don't know,..and IT IS small, it's not life size,..unless Arnold is a kid!! i have a life cast of Arnie face and is much bigger...
this happened cause the molding process,..it came smaller than life size,..and thinner too.,fact!

the paint sucks too,..the eybrows looks FAKE! sculpted and poorly done,..like a caterpillar it's above his eyes!

so yes,..to me it SUCKS BIG TIME for lack of a better word!

:lol You are entitled to your opinion bro. I obviously think you are WAY off in your assessment of the piece. Molded hair and eyebrows are what you get with this polystone statue , so it is what it is. I just disagree with you on practically every critique you have with the piece:lol The paint apps are incredible. Freckles , wrincles and even the pores of the skin are all in there. And as for it being small... If Arnold's head is larger than this than I would be surprised. I doubt it though. Now if you compare this with a HOWARD STUDIOS silicone bust with hand punched hair well of course there is no contest. To me HOWARD STUDIOS is about the best out there. Anyway to each his own. That is what makes this hobby so interesting.

Arnold head is WAY bigger,..if you never saw the life cast people sell,.. then you should get one and put besides this one,..this was a MOLD of a MOLD! the guy that worked on it,..a Stan Winston emploee posted about the process some time ago in another forum,..and how this made the facial features of Arnie not accurate!! And he have lazy eyes! Take a look at your picture! And the lips are too thin also!
About the eyebrows being what it is for a polystone statue, that's BULL! take a look at some 1:1 work out there and you will se eyebrows MUCH better done than that!,,, This is HORRIBLE! The paint, the sculpted hair! The only good thing are the clothes! It looks real! The Hot Toys T-800 have a better likeness AND better sculpted hair! :lol:lol:lol

But hey, don't feel bad that a 12" figure OWNS your 1:1 bust!! it happens a lot these days!! :gah::lol:lol:lol

Post a LINK to that discussion over on the RPF. I tried searching but couldn't find anything. Thanks
