Do you have any nit-picks with the figure?

I wish they'd sprung for a double-jointed neck. There might be a reason for not doing so. (Maybe the hair would have interfered with the head looking upward, for instance ... but I doubt that.) Even without it, though, you can capture some very familiar looks.

I'll likely explore ways to iron out wrinkles in this faux leather. (They aren't terribly bad at all, to be fair, but you DID say nitpicks. ;) )

And, of course, I'd have enjoyed another portrait. One that was more somber, stoic, whatever. (DX Crow, anyone?)

Having said that, I'm thrilled with it. After reading Michael Crawford's review (which included some valid complaints, especially in regards to the fit of the shirt), I nearly canceled my order. Really glad I didn't, though.

That is good to hear.

DX Crow? No there is some food for thought.

Even after all the negativity around this figure I never thought to cancel my PO and he is looking great. I will swap the foot pegs for longer ones as mentioned earlier in the thread but apart from that I will leave him as is.

PS - Great pics Predator1221. That is also one badass pose buddy.

Sidious- which long foot pegs did you use? Or from what figure?

And if the jacket on him was made any tighter to a closer fit, it would have been tricky to remove it.. I like that its slightly baggy. My only nitpick is that its the wrong guitar....

I wouldn't call this a nit pick so far I have yet to see any pics where the coat looks good. I am anxious to see how you are going to fix this issue!

I would almost consider trying to contact yunsil or Kato, or one of the other great custom tailors around here to do a run of the overcoat. It really brings the whole thing down a notch IMO. It reminds me of the Indy jacket, almost everyone replaced theres with soveregn studios or Kato, and it actually made them not hate the figure.

Eric is MILES ahead of that crappy indy, but his coat is bulky, bunches up, and just not up to par with current HT standard.

Agreed. But a body mod in addition to the coat would really complete the figure.

Re: Hot Toys The Crow petition

This looks like such an amazing figure. I haven't been collecting much this year due to travel, but I would love to pick this up sometime. Congrats to those who purchased this one.

I wonder if dipping it in boiling water would work.

Someone try it out for us, let us know if it ruins the coat! :lol

The coat is that bad? I find this ironic since the figure only looks fine when displayed with the coat.

The wire located in the collar of the jacket to me is unnecessary and kind of a pain, but other than that I have been very easily able to work out the wrinkles in the jacket. I do agree though that this figure looks weird with out the jacket, and that is a shame because hot toys is clearly capable of better. Over all though I LOVE this figure. Also he needed guns. I couldn't imagine this figure displayed without the shotgun I took from my joker figure. Without it I think it kind of looks like an over the top rocker to those who don't relate to the power of this movie. IDK just a thought.

Just saw your pics of your figure then, how did u get those wrinkles out?

No tricks really I just held the figure firmly around the waist and pulled both sleeves to his wrists and then formed the bottom of the jacket in to a pose that seemed natural to me. The only part of the jacket that I had any trouble with was the collar.
