Despite all my reservations after receiving this today I must say I'm thrilled with it...out of the box I think it's great...just made the jacket look a bit wind swept and interesting and bang class figure.
The teeth look fine at this scale and no where near as imposing as when you see zoomed in pics..if in doubt don't be..you won't regret it.

Feeling brave, as doing mods are not my speciality, and I'm going to take the wire out the coat and paint the lips tonight. Not going to wait for a second head, just gonna go for it!

I just got the Crow/ Eric Draven figure about 10 minutes ago and it's a very VERY good figure. I got it from SS and like always it came without any protection, just the brown shipper box from HT. Fortunately, the box was in good condition, with the exception of a SMALL dent on the back, but not a big deal. The figure looks great in hand and the sculpt and paint are beautiful. The coat is very soft and easy to work with...and it does need some work, but it does look good. The figure is very light (literally) and the accessories he comes with are well made, but nothing spectacular. The guitar looks cool but be very careful with the strings. Like a lot of HT figures, photographs don't do the figure justice, unfortunately. Like I said, the sculpt and the paint work looks impressive in hand, imo. So those of you who are still waiting for the figure, you'll love it! Also, straight out of the box, you can tilt the head down a bit and spread his arms in the crucifix pose he does in the film, and it looks great! Oh..one more thing, the teeth are fine, not too big in hand, imo. I'm very happy with the figure! :D

You can request it to be double boxed.

Like I said, it's a small dent on the left side on the back and the box is not broken, so not a big deal. I didn't see the option on their website for the double box, but I'm sure that's extra, unlike most online stores who do it for free.

You request it through their live chat. And yeah, I believe it's $10 more ontop of the original shipping cost. It's my only problem with SSC that it's not already included. They don't even do a good job it, usually they stick brown paper in between the boxes which doesn't do anything really for protection. I have my account setup that everything on order will get double boxes if it's able to be.

It's called pack out service. ;)

:exactly:

It offers minimal protection because they don't bubble wrap it or put in any packing material in there. The only real benefit of it is that you don't get shipping labels over the brown shipping box. That being said, it's better than what they currently offer.

I usually don't buy HT figures from SS unless they come with an EX and it cost the same as the regular version. This is my fourth EX figure from SS, and the first time the box comes with a small dent on the back. They should do a better job and it should be free. Last week I bought a $4 dollar figure from eBay, and it came bubble wrapped inside a big thick protected box, yet SS-COLLECTIBLES, can't do a simple thing like that :lol

Got mine a couple hours ago. Overall I really like him but yea he needs some serious futzing out of the box. The necklace is so annoying and I still need to straighten that out. I like the idea of removing the wiring from the coat. If someone can post a way to do that it would be greatly appreciated. Really glad to have him in hand even if he seems a tad rushed.

Re: Hot Toys The Crow petition

Got mine today, really love this figure. Also one of my favorite movies of all time. R.I.P Brandon Lee.

Re: Hot Toys The Crow petition

Thanks, but this is not the final setup. I'm waiting for the legend studios master lighthouse to put him in. Should be here this month.
