Think its more than that, I would say the MJ sculpt and this sculpt are quite similar.

A repaint is not a custom sculpt.

This is a repaint.

I will grant you it will look worse because the stock paint style on the EB Joker so bad that it hides the facial likeness of Ledger, and I even mentioned that was one of the problems with the EB sculpt. You clearly missed the point of my post, I used the custom sculpt to show what was WRONG with the EB sculpt, but I guess your too ignorant to see that. I also used the repaint to show how good the facial likeness (not the entire sculpt likeness ) is on the EB sculpt.

Whatever man, despite what method u used, U still showed how off this HT sculpt is.

a repaint is a custom wtf are you on? you customized the original making it a custom. You paid some one a couple of hundreds to make it better. WE are comparing stock photos. Like i said get a stock photo of the EB joke and place them side by side to that heath picture.

You didn't say customized, you said a custom sculpt , sorry but repainting a stock sculpt is not a custom sculpt, since your not customizing the structure of the sculpt. Anyway my point is the facial structure of the sculpt is the same. You said the EB sculpt is bad, well it can't be bad if all it needs is a repaint to see Ledger. You could repaint this HT sculpt and the facial likeness will still not look as good as EB, granted it possibly could look better than it is.

Again a paint issue, what has that got to do with actual structural likeness of the actual sculpt? :huh

I already said they messed up the paint job on the EB sculpt, which is why you can't see Ledger on the stock sculpt, so I don't get what your point is?

How is comparing the final product from one company and the prototype from another fair?

Enterbay's prototype looked bloody fantastic. Still the same sculpt.

It looks like a well textured and excellently painted version of the NECA figure.

Is that really a bad comment? I don't think anyone is trashing the HT, apart from saying that its just a little disappointing (cause they are so great on so many other things), and even after 4 years the Enterbay Joker is still better. That's totally ok to be 2nd best since the EB Joker really is great.

My main complaint with the sculpt is the lack of expression. Wonder why they didn't maybe for a laughing sculpt similar to the alternate DX11 head.

I would think that they will include at least one alternate head for this one. Or at least I hope so

I personally missed out on all the Jokers, I'd rather them do another 1/6th, but I'd love to have this, I just hope it undergoes a little change. the tailoring for me at the moment is really good, they just need to sort the hair, I'm surprised they haven't actually implanted hair on it, I'd pay more for a nicely constructed one with hair.

The sculpt is okay but honestly he should be coming with at least one extra one. The first Batman came with 3. From a business standpoint yes, it might cost more to manufacture but more people would be willing to buy if they felt like they got more and people would buy duplicates. I bought 2 QS01 so I could display both Batman and the Wayne head.

The stands look like crap too.

Seems like a lazy release to me. Same goes for BB.

so this is a 1:4 joker?

also did you have see the over toy joker already 1/6? i cant find nothing on youtube but it looks funny that figure of the joker

where can i find those headsculpts?

The first one is a sculpt by MJ Choi, and is now unavailable but there are plenty of recast of the sculpt on eBay. The second one is a resculpt of the Enterbay one and the only way to obtain that is by someone who owns one, as the sculptor no longer sculpts them.

Any chance this will have two sculpts when it goes up for pre-order?
The Begins Batman has three mouthplates and a separate Bruce sculpt. Surely the Joker deserves two sculpts.

I'm generally in favour of sculpted hair but I think this Ledger Joker and Doc Brown are two characters that will look better with rooted hair.
