I wouldn't worry too much about a second release in that it's Gordon who ppl have been clamoring for, I'd argue, just as much as Ras, and if there is a second release, one shouldn't have too difficult a time in selling it for most likely the same if not more than what you paid for this and getting the other version with a trench coat if it's made

I think you guys might have it the wrong way round.

I'm sure they had to pay big for Oldman's likeness.
They may need to make another just to make the likeness rights / returns equation match up

I bet they did. if memory serves me right, for the longest time and posssilby until this release, Harry Potter collectibles were the only ones that had rights to Oldman's likeness as he's one of those ones that doesn't like to give his likeness right away

Ironically the DX12 cowl sculpt has the opposite problem IMO.

DX excluded.

That would have benefitted with a squinted look...

I wouldn't read too much into the word 'version' by itself but on the other 2 counts...maybe. Its a 'boring' human though and not Batman or a villain so that goes against the likelihood of a second release.

I think someone mentioned on these boards somewhere that Hot Toys doesn't like making characters who just wear suits. I don't know if that is true or not, but it makes me wonder if this is the only way we'll get Gordon.

I'm content with my iminime Gordon, but this is very nice. The sculpt is decent, although as usual with HT, a bit too leading man handsome, and somewhat small. I really like the square glasses.

If I could get this at circa 2009 prices - $129 - I'd do it, but with so much else on tap, I'll pass...still, very cool though that HT finally did a Gordon.

no i think he's talking about the official HT pic in the new DX12 thread with the figure on the Bat-pod. if you look closely you can see that for whatever reason, HT didn't put the boot(s) on the figure

Whew. I've been staying out of the TDKR threads so I didn't know if it had already been revealed that Batman gets broken into several pieces by Bane or something. Come to think of it I really should duck out of all Batman threads until the movie comes out at this point. Thanks for clarifying!

I believe HT said this when asked in a Q&A about Inception figures. Not 100% sure though.

most likely you'll be able to order through sideshow, all the other exclusives have been ordered through sideshow, the Batman from begins last year and the batman and scarecrow two pack all went through sideshow. They also have the Captain America exclusive currently up for preorder. But sideshow is usually the only online retailer you'll be able to get these from because places like Alterego aren't allowed to carry them.
