Looks amazing! Totally bought if we can get it through Sideshow!

To me that is damn near 100% Oldman. Hopefully nothing happens to it in production like the Batman begins Bale.

I think it looks fantastic. Unfortunately with so much coming from all sides this one will have to give.

I wonder if there isn't a standard Gordon coming. While the name plaque might suggest it, HT has said they don't like doing guys in suits, they find it boring and with the fact that his hair isn't messy and a pair of his standard glasses I'm wondering if HT is giving the option of buying this and kit bashing your own instead of them offering it. The base doesn't say "SWAT version" it just says "Lt. Jim Gordon"...

The fact that it doesn't say "Commissioner Gordon" is the biggest clue for me.

But HT have defied all logic and common sense in the past

I forgot to look at that actually, ya based on that this will probably be the only Gordan, those nameplates are usually pretty good to go on.

In his defense, Umair is solely a Nolan Batman collector and it just so happens pretty much all Nolan batman figures made by hot toys have been bested by custom work time after time.

Isn't that the truth. Gordon and Angelica amazing while Cap kinda meh. I didn't think I would want Gordon but I was wrong.

There are many HT figures that I think are near perfect and haven't been surpassed by any customs. This is not one of them.

EDIT:

The only Nolan Batman figure HT has made that I don't think has been bested by a custom is Scarecrow. That's it.

Am I the only one who's disappointed it's SWAT Gordon from one brief scene and not trenchcoat and square frames detective Gordon from the rest of the three movies?

I agree. But still an instabuy for me. Been waiting on a Gordon.

Something about that Captain America head just doesn't look like it meets HT's own current standard. It kinda looks like it should be the generic head that comes on a nude Truetype body.

I really like this figure, but would prefer a regular suited Gordon. I've gotta figure there are one of two reasons they went with this look. Either they plan on doing a traditional looking Gordon down the road for TDKR, or they just think this makes for a better "action figure" on the shelf. HT, in general, doesn't like regular guys in suits, and have said so in interviews.

So, if I wanted a Gordon figure, I might not hold my breath waiting for another version in a trenchcoat, because it might not happen.
