IDK maybe it's me but I don't absolutely hate those. This is the first pic spread I'm seeing of it and from all of the talk, I was expecting much worse.

I guess people just really want something close to this:

I just picked mine up. Was bored at lunch so strolled down to the toy shop... He was just unpacking them!!! So its now in its box, waiting, And then, I'm going to try something like the pic above.

Good luck mate, I hope it ends well. Who knows, it might even turn out to be a legitimate transaction and you'll get the figure you paid a good price for.

For future reference, my advice would be to only buy from ebay sellers who have a solid rep built on the back of similar transactions. Of course there are quite a few very reputable bricks n' mortar stores that sell online too. You'll get a feel for it soon enough :)

The seller gave me a complete refund, thanks for all the tips, I've a lot to learn from seasoned vets like you :wave

^ Seems like he didn't really plan on sending anything. :lol

Congrats on getting your money back so quickly, btw :D

Thanks man :)
Glad I bought my DX-12 from a really trusted seller.
The bat-pod, from the images I see isn't that essential so I really am glad I got my money back and can move on now...

Yea things like the hand and gauntlet thing isn't the worst thing that's ever happened and I don't really see it as a QC issue; we just have to deal with the fact that it's something that we have to futz with. I think the hand peg would have to fit way too tight to prevent that from happening and there would end up being problems when trying to change hands.

There doesn't seem to be any defects that are becoming a pattern which is good.

I have to say I personally think the eye paint mod is a big improvement but you already know that I'm one of those :lol I'm sure there will be plenty of people who will be perfectly happy with it right out of the box

I would imagine that these two together would be easier to make work than the first BP & DX02. The DX12 is quite a bit more poseable than the DX02. And I hated the idea of the plastic piece as a replacement to the wired cape that came with the 1st BP, but I have to say, I see its potential in these pics.Still would've preferred a wired cape

I agree with you and to each their own as far as the eye lid thing. I think painting them is a little more reasonable if you prefer that look. However sculpting them to appear more squinted is going over board in my book. However like I said in the video, it's your figure so do what you need to do. :)

As far as these BatPod pics above. I think that where the person failed is with the arms. The arms on him can bend pretty good. If he would bend them more and sink the figure down closer to the seat it would look a lot better. I am going to give mine a shot when I have some time.

How much was it?

I got it for 1900rmb (about 180 quid). The tumbler was 2500 (240 quid) so a little expensive by comparison.

Now, try as I might, I can't get the batman to sit in the pod correctly, so I compromised and put Bruce Wayne in it! He can keep the seat warm for the Catwoman...

Yeah I think ultmiately I am going to put Catwoman on this instead. Based on the size of the figure and the fact that the body will be a thinner one, I think the chances of getting her to look right on there will be better. I guess we'll see.

My Bruce Wayne sits on it pretty well. I just took a couple of pics. I'll add them in a few minutes.

Is the tumbler still available for that price?
It's £400 here...
Post pics with Bruce in the batpod!

I sell it to him for £70. Some internet buyer cancel his order and wanted refund. I give it to him, I think he think me scammer or something.

Lol. Brilliant.

240 quid for the tumbler is an absolute steal. Where's that from?

I bought it from a shop in Shanghai (my regular HT shop) . He only got the one in for me.
After that it was up for between 60 - 100 more within a couple of weeks.

In mean time, the Wayne Pod.

I really wish HT gave us a sculpted batman for this thing, 1) it would look right (I'd want a turnable head and wired cape), and 2) we wouldn't have to waste the amazing dx batman sitting on this thing, I would have paid another $100-$125 for that, but that's just me

I agree. I thought for a bit maybe trying to pick up another batman loose if possible and modding him to specifically be able to sit on the pod correctly.

Glad to hear that you got the situation squashed painlessly. There are a lot of good people on eBay. But there's a good amount of jerk-offs too. The cardinal rule as always is if it sounds to good to be true...then it is :wink1:

Yea of course everyone wants him to hug the bike tight but I don't think that was ever realistic because his suit hinders so much articulation. You really can't get him in any deep or extreme poses.

You would think the same about Selina but in the promo pics they have her in that one knee pose and she looks good on the bike. But then again this could be Hot Toys' evil magic like they worked on things like 89' Joker on one leg (unless you tighten his knees he can barley stand on two) or the Mark IV in the famous one knee floor punch pose

Same, thinking of making a wired cape from a spare Ilforgino cape i have. Looks to me like he can get closer to the bike with more bending at the arms, in Maglors videos he shows the DX12 arms almost completely bent with the gauntlet reaching the shoulder pad. Doing that will help lower the upper body and may make him look better on the pod, although no-one will be riding my pod as it's going next to the Tumbler
