However, I've read about others "hunting down" their UPS guy. How the heck does one do that? Do you drive around looking for the truck? Then walk up to him, and tell him who you are / show ID?

I ran into another UPS guy in our area and he gave me the phone # of a dispatcher who was able to track my package when given my address. He then called the driver, and called me back with his location. I met him there, showed him ID and signed for the package.

Definitely pics to follow......However, it was promptly whisked away by my Wife, so I'm thinking it was supposed to be a surprise. So who knows when I'll actually get to unbox it.

I had told her about the sale at Gohastings.....I really wanted the Batpod, but $275 + shipping was a bit steep for me. My Wife LOVES a good sale and LOVES to feel like she's getting a good deal. So what I do is present her with an opportunity to save money on an item, and almost always she will buy the item.

At the time, she said "do you really want this?" and her tone was that she didn't like it or didn't think it was worth the money. So I didn't think she had ordered it.

Apparently she did.

I got the DX12 for Xmas so I can do photos of Batman with the Batpod. But ultimately I plan to pose Ms. Kyle on it.

Mother******er. Gohastings straight up canceled my order. I called them and got no answer. They literally just canceled my order after I paid over a week ago on the third.

They did the same exact thing to me regarding the DX12. I had the same reaction that you did.

Gohastings currently shows the Tumbler at $469 (and out of stock). I could swear that when they had their 25% off sale it was something like $577? Makes me wonder if they did the old "raise the price, put it on sale" maneuver? They didn't do that with any of the other Hot Toy figures, but I swear the Tumbler was much higher.

It eas 877...gohastings got hit hard on the sale, cant blame them if orders got cancelled. They only have a very limited supply to begin with....

My order for the Batpod said I got the last one but it didn't show out of stock on their site for like another 2-3 days. I ordered on 1/2. I think every order past mine they ha to refund because they were out if stock.

And you're right. The Tumbler was like 800+ and when it went out of stock the price gradually decreased of the course of a couple days.
