Ha ha. I'm thinking EB's will probably top this one. They could be different though as there are subtle differences between the endo in T1 and T2.

Well here's the thing. HT's has already made an Endo (1/6) So will they just enlarge their previous inaccurate attempt? Or will they tweak it.

EB's first crack so this should be interesting.

This has been a very exciting 2 days. With the exception of the DX10 which IMO is total crap. HT is playing a pissing match and EB are holding their own IMO. My wallet just put a rope around its neck.

I have always backed EB as a company since their first Bruce Lee figure and yes they have made some pretty questionable decisions and design choices, but recently they have made some great figures. My first figure was from hot toys ( the original T800 without Arnie likeness, funnily enough ) and I will always have a soft spot for them. But they have taken on more than they can manage and have become to big for their boots

When I opened the EB 1:4 Arnie I was so gobsmacked. I own pretty much every terminator collectible bar the fullsize endo and the 1/4 Arnie is my favourite in my collection. I've always been a supporter of the underdog and EB is no exception. I really want them to get the praise they deserve.

My exact thoughts as well.

Agreed and I own the 1:1 Sideshow Arnie bust too.

Accessories will be limited for the endos.
Even though the T-800 in T1 holds nothing, I'd love to have 2 plasma rifles in the box.

The rest is bonus.

I highly doubt either company will go so far as to observe the little differences between the T1 and T2 endos. I think they'll both put out really amazing but generic 'fits-all' figures. Those who are very particular about the details of the onscreen endos will not come out happy.

Take the T1 endo, theres differences in the finger construction, hose placement and so on but also its left calf piston should be damaged and jutting outwards - are HT going to do that on their figure? I very much doubt it.

You are probably right there A-Dev. I'm hoping EB's will be as good as their previous release

double post. Sorry

ill stick with the 1/4 scale endo full metal statue by sideshow. another pass for me. 0/3 Hot Toys!

EB most likely will have large metal content while HT will not..not sure of prices but I'll bet HT will try to go lower price point to undercut EB. I think they will be different enough from each other...

I'll go with the cheapest option (which I also think will be HT). Since the final figures will be fairly similar, their last resort is competitive pricing. If there is a massive difference and one of the sculpts is clearly better than the other, I'll take that one instead. Quite a few little factors to consider, but it's pointless to settle on one company at this point. We'll have to wait until at least one Endo is fully-revealed.

If EB is fully metal, you still think you will go for HT as it will be cheaper?

Well, that's the thing. If HT can pull off a show-stopping, attention-grabbing, accurate look for their Endo without going full metal (and is cheaper), I'll go with theirs. The fact is I don't want a full metal figure, especially if the whole thing ends up being a giant poseable clunk. The Aoshima 1/6 Endo was diecast and it was just a clumsy pain to mess around with. Might as well be a ratcheted statue at that point. Wasn't a fan of the feel.

Having that said, I'll still hold off until one or both companies shows something (I threw the 'one' in there just in case whoever goes first asks too nice of a price for too irresistible of a piece -- then again, it's likely the other manufacturer might get theirs out in a hurry shortly after to maximize customers, so we could very well have both sides to compare before buying).
