Oh thanks man that helps. Would you say from a first hand perspective, it would be a good enough replacement for the MMS136 body? I'm SOL on getting that body I think.

I'm kinda thinking the shoulders would need to be padded. I know someone posted a side by side perspective somewhere in the thread of the 136 vs 238.

Thanks bro ! I love Alien . Short review but simple . This figure is fantastic and a grail piece for sure . I ordered 2 of these guys . I wanted one boxed up and safe . Just be extremely careful with the 80's sun glasses . They feel so fragile . We're never going to forgive ourselves if we break it . Just take them off if your posing him . Then put the glasses back on . I wish hot toys gave us an extra pair .

Im not sure why you want a mms238 body for mms136?
Just get a ttm20.

Once again it Will work fine, modding the Neck Will help but the mms238 hs are just still too big for these bodies

Thanks for posting that. I wanted to do the BD look and the MMS238 body would be cheaper (I think) than somehow trying to get the MMS136 somewhere. But the TTM20 is just as good as the 136 body? Can the forearms be removed on that? Even if it can't, I can just have the figure I just ordered be the BD version and use a TTM20 to be the Tech Noir version after ordered the clothing etc.

Haha, those pics with the dirty wine coloured carpet are mine.

2 things - A) why does it look so very suspect with the trousers only slightly pulled down and B) I think those pics show pretty clearly that despite its many problems the DX10 sculpt is better than the 117.

The mms136 is hard to come by.
Just get a TTM20 or a cheap mms238. You Will get double jointed elbows.
The mms238 Will already have the bd arm so maybe its better if you wanna use it as a bd mms136.
The forearms can be removed but they are not compatible with mms136.
Size wise the mms238 and ttm20 are bulky enough for mms136.

Yeah that occurred to me. Is the missing flesh on them the same as the 136 arm? Right now it's a hope I can build one and nothing in stone, just money permitting. Thanks for the help

I havent rechecked but the bd arms looks the same to me, mms238 has better paint i think.

I think it may be a good substitute though I think there's some skin tone difference. I'm kind of curious to see how the body would look dressed up in the tech noir clothes. I may give it a try when I get a chance.

There is a skintone difference between the neck of an MMS238 and the head of an MMS136. The 238 neck is slightly darker than the face of an MMS136. I have a higher tolerance for skintone differences than some others but it does kinda bother me when I look at it sometimes. I used the upper body muscle sheath of an MMS238 on a Tech Noir T-800 (the one who donated his beefier chest to my Police Shootout figure)

The bulk reduction on the Tech Noir however is not noticeable since that jacket is simply massive.

Got my figure today and its pretty good overall. Some positivies and negatives:

* box is fantastic. A tad smaller than prior, and looks amazing. If this box became the new norm in style, I could die happy.
* face sculpts, clothing, weapons all excellent
*base = very cool. Wish a standard base was also included though
* Body = what happened to his bulk from the Tech Noir version? That base body looked incredibly intimidating. This one has a thin neck and not sure of just me, but it looks skinny almost. Not happy with the base body alterations at all
