I have a tracking number but it hasn't updated since the 8th october....saying that it had left Hong Kong for its destination. So there's some conflicting information on ebay there - when I hover the cursor over that parcel symbol it says ''shipped on 10 october'' but the actual tracking says it left HK on the the 8th. And I get nothing when I enter the tracking number on my own postal service page.

Seller is lockrock2010. As I said I have no reason yet to suspect foul play, but in my experience this is an unusually long wait for something even from Hong Kong. Then again it could arrive in the next few days and all will be well.

first off forgive me if I dont have everthing right because i skimmed thru but I have purchased a few different items from hong kong and its been normally about a month. I didnt worry to much because in the fine print somewhere it did explain that it could take up to that. Everytime i checked tracking it said something something port and it stood there for awhile. Buuut I would contact seller before you open a case, there almost always willing to go above and beyond to avoid negative feedback. Also I noticed when you track a package thru the link it gives its very limited info, if you copy the tracking number and go to search web it will direct you to either UPS, fedex, and usps (well depending where your at) doesnt work all the time but it has worked frequently that it will give more detail. So far right now I ordered an item on oct 13, shipped nov 6th and still nothing. The last two items were about a month or so, i wouldnt worry.

I was inspired by Silasya77 to try and do the collar mod, and my figure's left lapels are apparently glued down, while at least the top one on his right was stitched down. Has anyone else noticed this? Or is mine an aberration?

Is this the body people are swapping out? HT Zod.

Sorry for the ebay seller ad, no affiliation. I'm sure everyone here is well aware of this guy.

Well that certainly is weird. Mine definitely didn't seem to have that problem. Could it just be a case of the stitching being really tight? I didn't really checked for the threads much, just kind of ran my scissors underneath the lapels and snipped until the lapels came undone.

Thanks Silasya. I worked with it some more, and it was definitely glued down. It actually pulled a small hole in the jacket as I tried to pull the lapel away from the jacket underneath. The adhesive stretched a bit, then pulled the material up with it. I can glue it back, so not the end of the world, but I won't be able to pose this jacket the way you did. Guess I'll have to stick with my DX-10 jacket, even though the backside of the lapel isn't the pleather material.

Damn well that's unfortunate. Maybe hot toys ran out of thread for a week or something when they made yours lol. I really don't understand why they felt the need to hold it down in the first place, granted it might have given the lapels the shape that it wouldn't have had if they didn't do anything to hold it down..

I honestly don't think unhooking the lapels make THAT much difference , especially the bottom ones. You can still pull the collar at the back of the head up to kind of give it a similar look though, lol

This ZOD body is a TTM20 with longer abdominal area, longer thighs... Might have longer arms too because they reach the top of the thighs just like a regular ttm20 do, if they were were the same arms they would look shorter with that longer abdominal area... Yes they are different they dont have the veins on biceps that ttm20 have.
I tried the mms238 Head on my ZOD armored figure and the proportions looked much better, but i need to recheck the neck.
Also my Zod was armored so maybe that helped.

This is not the body i swapped for, i used MOS Superman not ZOD.
Supes has a beefed up Neck right out of the box.

Seeing MOS body next to ttm20, they have similiar proportion save for the shorter abdominal area and the Neck.
Zod body with stuffed Neck could look very good...
Gonna get one to see.

GREAT figure. I absolutely love it.. That said, it is my sworn duty to whine and complain about the little stuff. Let's begin, shall we?

1) The first thing I noticed when I unpacked it, was that the AR-18 rifle AND the Nickel-plated Smith & Wesson Model 15 revolver are both oversized, just a bit. (The SPAS-12 and the AMT Hardballer .45 Longslide are the perfect scale.) It's most noticeable with the AR-18; The real thing is actually a rather thin and petite rifle. I made a full-on custom of this figure a couple years ago. I used the die-cast AR-18 that came with the Aoshima die-cast Endoskeleton, and it was the perfect size.

2) The wrist articulation sucks for posing the guns.

3) The AR-18 duel magazines fall out with the slightest touch... I easily fixed this with some paper stuffed inside.

4) The infamous sunglasses are really difficult to keep in place; they are constantly falling off with any handling.
I have a possible mod to fix this: I might try gluing two short lengths of super-fine clear invisible thread to the inner surfaces of the left and right struts. Then, I run the thread back to the removable head section. I glue tiny lumps of plastic to the ends of both, and push them inside so they lock inside the removable hair when it's in place. Then, when I want to take the glasses off, I just lift the back of the removable head section a bit, and the two little plastic balls come out, unlocking the glasses.

I'll have to look into the neck thing... I'm sure I will agree about the added thickness, I just haven't checked the neck proportions yet.

That's an amazing set, did you build it yourself? If you did, you should start selling them as the level of detail is as impressive as the figure itself.

As far as lighting, I recommend you check out minispotlight.com. That's what I use for all of my figures to get the right look for display.

Congrats mate :)

About the ar18 i think HT might have copied the kit offered by a japanese guy.
It was also a tad too big...
For the clip, did you pushed it all the way in? I add the same problem until i flipped the clip and pushed it fully.
For the glasses i just put some patafix in the middle if the glasses, used that trick on my custom ps for a year now and it works great.
No discoloration or anthing.
Enjoy your new figure :)

Figure is a beast, I personally like it more than the DX13. The neck mod really does make a difference.
