Re: Hot Toys-The Terminator (T1)-MMS 238-T-800-(Battle Damaged Version) 1/6 Scale...

Jep. Was blown away on my way to work.

Don't like the movie too much but my finger is itching.

Gotta sell my Dutch.
It's not too far away if you look at this:

People asking for a Kyle Reese, Michael Bhein won't lend his likeness to anything [emoji20]

Where do you get that from, while not to Hot Toys level, NECA's Reese and Hicks both feature pretty good Biehn likenesses, so close that I'd say it's just the sculptor's ability that fell short and not some attempt to hide likeness, and NECA doesn't do figures they can't do the likeness for that I'm aware of, they got Bill Paxton even for Hudson, they got Sigourney Weaver which was huge. I'm sure HT could get Biehn if they wanted.

As for Matrix, is no one concerned that HT seems to be going back to covered elbow joints? I know people don't like seeing joints but I thought the all plastic arms with an elbow joint was a nice compromise to not worry about damage over time, this seems like a recipe for trouble like the old muscle bodies and a step backward. Kudods that the body seems very custom to Arnold though.

I sure as hell am. I despise it. Throws any pose-ability out the window out of fear of cracking. I'd take visible joints any day.

I guess their rationale was that the MMS117 has the coat to cover the elbows. If it comes out of the box with exposed arms, they're doing rubber arms. There's no option to cover the arms of Matrix, so they want to leave that level of realism in there. I agree with it, but I hate it at the same time.

The double-jointed elbows of the past few Arnie figures would have looked horrible and the old style MMS117 arms have kinda limited range anyway so I guess they decided they might aswell hide the joint completely.

The 238 is double jointed right?

I guess if the articulation sucks, I guess I could understand why'd they do it. I assume that's why they did it for Dutch.

I hadn't considered that ever iteration of this figure is sleveless so they probably opted this route because of, their other muscle body figures have clothed options so they go for joints. My guess is if they redo Dutch, it'll be jointed because he does have the brown shirt/jacket. I'd love to see a more posable Dutch, I loved the costuming on the original but the body sucked. Even the portrait was pretty good, sure it'll be better on a new one. I just hate to see HT backslide but it makes sense why this has hidden joint arms, more like Hulk than Terminators or Wolverine.

Excellent pictures! :clap

Thx, dude. :hi5:

Mother of God, those are some great pics. I only Right-Click-Save two kinds of pictures. :monkey3 This group belongs to the first. Bravo, man, bravo! :clap

Whoa, thx YB. Honored. Glad you like´em.
:duff

Well they only just released the BD version of Arnie, Reese could be the next one. Maybe even a two pack of both Tech Com and 1984.

THAT would be an absolute no brainer.

But on Matrix: I´m not getting him. No character I need a figure of...

Friday is my last Flex Pay:D shipping almost $18 @_@ has shipping gone up for sideshow? I remember paying $10 when I started collecting, thay was about a year ago. Ancient Predator was the one with a higher shipping price and now this......can't recall if Robocop was above $10

Getting mine on the 10th man :duff Robocop was 15.00 for me, I think that's been the price for shipping now and days :(

From a distance ya cant tell the difference. I have 2 of these figs and it was just 2 of the same figure with a different head. They both look different now at least. I may in the future get a really fine pen and draw the speckles onto the shirt, but at the moment I don't really think it needs it.
