Tumbler is "supposed" to be a straight up re-issue whereas the batmobile was built from scratch. It will be more expensive, guessing $500 - $660 range.

Do you really think HT is passing the savings onto you for their re-use; hell no :lol

Batmobile '89 should be cheaper, Tumbler is more complex car...

I know people keep saying "it's just a block of plastic, how hard can it be" but it is a bit more complicated than that.

Does the TDK Batmobile have functional machine guns or any of those little features through out the car? Not really. The Tumbler doesn't have any "accessories". I know the Batmobile Tumbler has those spoilers and a few more parts but I don't think the '89 Batmobile is just this simple thing that make it out to be.

It's interior cockpit and sliding canopy is much more elaborate and detailed compared to the Batmobile Tumbler. I don't own it but from the looks of the Batmobile Tumbler, it has a few sticker details where everything except the monitor screen appear to be sculpted on the '89 Batmobile.

Yeah, the Tumbler has a lot of different parts due to it's shape. All those panels and pieces that they have to glue on but I don't think the '89 Batmobile is a walk in the park. I hope it's about the same price as the TDK Batmobile but then again, I'm thinking just like with the figures, we might have to pay a small premium.

Small for all of you in the States....for me in Spain, is more than small :(

At least the Tumbler relaunch proved that a 1/6 car CAN be priced the same as Iron Monger!

Many collectors kept saying that if IM is $470, a car simply HAS TO BE MORE!

Actually, IM is $10 more than the Tumbler :lol

That's good to hear though. Gives me more hope of getting the 89 Batmobile :)

And it's an easy decision for me which one I go for out of the two :yess:

so, this one will be around $500, that is good for me !!

True, but they didn't discount the Mark I 2.0 even though they didn't have to build anything new. Also, the Tumbler still must be a very expensive piece to mold and assemble given how many parts there are. The Batmobile by comparison is extremely simple; one block of plastic on wheels.

I mean honestly; which one of these looks like it should be the more expensive of the two?
