Anyways, the Batmobile. It's too short, it's not painted correctly, it's overpriced, yet somehow, something deep inside me wants to make me sell my wedding ring to get it.

So these same people picketed Marvel Comics and took offense to their monthly comic given the owners hadn't fought in the conflict? My magazine is associated with the sport of airsoft and airsoft alone. While aspects are certainly militaristic, and we have covered events that reenact battles in the conflict (like Gettysburg Civil War reenactors) at it's heart, it's a glorified game of war that just about every kid plays in his backyard at one point or another. My magazine, again, has absolutely no association with the conflict in Vietnam. I will add by saying that one of our staff members is a former Green Beret who served in Thailand during the end of the Vietnam conflict and he takes absolutely no offense whatsoever to the name of our publication. Neither do the thousands of Vietnam veterans I've met over the course of doing this (since 2004). So the fact that you're making a huge deal out of this, that not even the thousands of veterans I've had the luxury of meeting over the years have done, and bringing my personal life into an argument because you got the ass end of it is not only inappropriate, but entirely irrelevant to anything and everything having to do with the Hot Toys Batmobile.

I still think that having a magazine called "the nammagazine" with military camo as part of the background looks like it's a magazine about the Vietnam war. That's just the first impression I got when I saw the name, and I still think it's not really the best name for an airsoft enthusiast magazine. I still think that you are unnecessarily negative, to the point at which you seem to be negative for the sake of being negative, as if making glib negative comments as a habit is cool.

I'm still waiting on more pics of the Batmobile, with full measurements and features list.

Since when did the military start using "brushed steel" as camouflage? That's the background we have behind the banner. There's no "military camo" in the background on our website. The default is set at black. I think once again, you're digging at a failed attempt to make yourself right when this discussion is unfounded.

To me it seems like it's the easy way out for some to just go and pick on your statements.

Some just need to take a step back and recognize when they're being a hypocrite, take a break, snap out of it and then rejoin the conversation.

I'm guilty of it, but i'm also an adult so I take a deep breath and don't go accusing others of acting bad while i'm in the process of doing the same thing.

I just got off the phone with a Hot Toys representative and they were very kind and informed me that they will lower the price from $950 to $400 if everyone agrees that my name is, indeed, not Francis. Keep in mind that they made this agreement, not myself.

I seem to recall seeing camo there at some point. It's been years since I visited. I still think that thenammagazine sounds like it's about Vietnam. It's not personal, it's just business. the nammagazine is your handle, and you've got Sgt. Slaughter as your signature. I think that it is reasonable to think that someone might interpret the nammagazine as a reference to the Vietnam Conflict as a result.

Everything about the Batmobile in this post is an assumption:

1. Why do people keep saying the Batmobile is too short? It may "look" short from the photos, but without measurements, its impossible to be certain at this point for this piece.

2. The shade and gloss level of the finish looks fine to me. But the thing about this Batmobile, as it appeared in 1989 (before the jet-black high-shine Returns version) is that it's finish is very subjective. Different photos and screenshots of the actual car seem to contradict each other based on the lighting or shine level bouncing off of it in different scenes or shots. In some it looks almost black, in some it even looks almost silver and anywhere in between. And then on top of all that, you've got to consider how the actual movie prop is colored (how it would look in a well lit room) versus how it was meant to look...how it looks in the low-light night scenes of the movie. It's a very difficult thing to pin down, and since there is so much variation in appearance for the same car, I think Hot Toys did a pretty good estimate...even if this is not the final color.

3. "It's overpriced." We simply don't know this for a fact yet. All that's been going on is a lot of speculation based on an unsourced message board post.
