I liked that scene as well even though I have seen many who thought it was too cheesy.

Does everyone else here think that the shiny new Beskar armored Mando figure is an inevitability?

We've already discussed the possibilty of Beskar version whether being made or not countless times that there has been a whole thread outside dedicated solely for this " upgraded speculation".

This one may tip the scales and get me to buy this line. I've been thinking about picking up the Mandalorian and IG-11, but wanted to see how the story unfolded over S1 before making a commitment. The only hesitation I've had is that a number of the supporting characters that were teased seem to be a one and done. First there was Kuiil the Ugnaught. I kept expecting IG-11 to come back, but he may be gone for good. Then I thought Cara Dune (Gina Carano) was going to join up as part of his crew, but that doesn't seem to be in the offing. From a storytelling standpoint, I'm fine with them keeping the Mandalorian as a Clint Eastwood style lone bounty hunter. I'm sure HT will make a Beskar armor+asset (which should come with the floating chair). While I wouldn't be interested in a Cara Dune figure, Kuiil on Blurgg would be great. I am interested to see Moff Gideon, which is probably the only other figure I'd be interested in.

Don't be too impatient. Seems strange that they would go to the effort to introduce the various main characters who all seem to have certain skills, and not bring them together.

Personally I think by about Ep6 we'll be introduced to the bad guys (Moff Gideon etc) and that'll be too much for the Mando alone. So how will he defeat them ? With his friends and team.

So with a bit of luck we could still get a Kuiil and Cara Dune.

Could be totally wrong, but seems like the logical way to go imo. And typically how standard Hollywood stories tend to go for the big finale.

IMDB lists Gina as appearing in three epsiodes, but Taika only in one. I think IG-11 may be coming back in the next season. In Tales of the Bounty Hunters IG-88 was one of four identical droids with a hive mind, so it's possible IG-11 could return in a new body.

Big shot Mando putting together a crew.

Each main supporting character getting their own episode before bringing them together. That's characterisation folks.

I thought it was odd to blow the Seven (or two) Samurai story so early. That could have been bigger and more epic and had him assemble his various "allies".

I just remembered this:

Eight for Aduba-3

Han Solo and Chewbacca are hired by Ramiz, a moisture farmer on Aduba-3, to protect his village from a band of local thugs known as the Cloud-Riders, led by Serji-X Arrogantus. Han and Chewbacca hire six misfit spacers to help them with the task, including Don-Wan Kihotay, an old man who thinks he is a Jedi Knight, and Jaxxon, a rabbit-like creature with a mean disposition. Serji-X tries to convince Han to forget about his mission to protect the peasants and even offers him compensation, but Han declines.

I was getting that vibe too. Hopefully with ig making a return as well

After what he did to the Stormies and the Bounty Hunters Guild, best believe he’ll have no choice to have a crew by the end of the season.
Plus, it’s Star Wars. You know they love their ensembles.

This Heavy Infantry Mandalorian looks too thick. It'd be much better if Hot Toys came out with a quarter-scale full Beskar-armored Mandalorian instead!

Yep. No doubt they were waiting to see how it was received before showing additional figures.

I wonder how many figures phase 2 consists of ?
I wonder how many phases HT has ?
Will we have the same for Cassian and Obi-Wan series ?

.....so many questions !!

Very cool looking figure and a nice surprise but still waiting for PO's to go up for Jango, Bespin Luke , and the Bespin Han they teased. At this they probably won't go up until sometime next year and not ship until sometime in 2021.

Really
Hoping for all 3 of those soon. For sure I need Bespin Luke & Han. Luke?s Bespin outfit is my favorite look of his.
