I keep seeing reviews mention it but personally I don’t see any resemblance to Rosario Dawson in the sculpt at all. To me it just looks like they smoothed out her angular blocky animated appearance into a softer more realistic version, whereas the original prototype was just their own take.
I did see a resemblance. Before any reviewer mentioned it too

Completely agree with this.

as requested...blah blah blah video lol

Thanks for the review! It's interesting that you prefer the seamless arms tho.
I kinda wish they included arms with exposed joints ala how Gametoys with their cloud x Hardy daytona cause id rather have my figure look as good as the day i got him in a couple of years. Seamless joint look nice and all but with all that restrictions and limitations, that state just gonna last for a while.

Eh, to each their own i guess XD

I also prefer seamless arms, I buy these figures for as much realism as possible. I’d happily sacrifice a little bit of articulation to avoid ugly joints.

For the record I prefer seamless for the aesthetics, but not for posing. At least with the live action version she has covering that they can go for double joints hopefully.

Although looking these a bit more closely, seems the shoulders will be the problem area here.

Hot toys use stock bodies. They rarely make one specific to a character. Did they ever use a body with seamless shoulders and joint elbows at the same time before? I dont think that body exists

To be fair, I don't think they've ever needed to make a body with seemless shoulders and jointed elbows before. And while HT doesn't always make specific bodies for a character, they do it pretty often, especially for female characters: Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn, TCW Ashoka, WandaVision Scarlet Witch all come to mind pretty quickly.

They even did it in a big way for Hellboy who is far from a huge seller.

I expect the same tech to be used here. Essentially a stock upper torso overmoulded in a silicon mould with mould cut off at the elbow for example.

Would sure be nice if Sideshow would start shipping this out. Tomorrow is three weeks since I was charged. Maybe wait until this is in the warehouse next time?

I haven’t gotten an email from sideshow yet but I’m hoping for one soon. Ashoka’s spot in my detolf has been empty for quite some time. At least they didn’t charge me and wait three weeks. That must be frustrating.

I'm soooo doing this! I also have Cody to toss in there too. It feels good to have the Clone Wars mains in the collection. Just waiting on Mace, Savage, and Assajj.
Looks like sideshow will be adding a CW Yoda to their line of cartoon styled figures. I wish I had room for all these but I’m sticking with the HT versions.

Yes, I heard about that! I can't say I'm overly interested, as I prefer HT's realistic take on animated characters, but cool for those who prefer the stylized look. HT would just jive better with my live action collection. I'm relieved I managed to track down a Yoda for a decent price last year. Waiting for a ROTS version may take years.. The wait for Mace seems neverending.
