1/6 Hot Toys - TMS 029 - The Mandalorian: Moff Gideon Collectible Figure

I'll pick this up but the portrait is a bit of a letdown and the body looks too broad, although that might be due to the chest armor. I also have a feeling Hot Toys may use too tall of a body, since the actor is only 5'8" but I guess they could reuse their Michael Jackson body.

Oh, OK. I don't have Instagram, so I can't see the tags. I was going by someone else calling it 1/4 earlier - that and I can't even put my pinky finger inside a 1/6 neck lol.

They mentioned it was painted by Yelim, I assumed hers.

That custom looks great, certainly better likeness but I don't think the HT sculpt is so poor that I would seek out a custom. Not even sure I need the figure. Could wait to see how season 3 plays out before deciding based on the wait.

Yeah I'm at least going to wait for the finale on Friday, to see if he has some badass scene that inspires me to order in spite of the underwhelming sculpt. Because so far the cool outfit isn't quite enough to do it.

Certain angle bears great resemblance with the actor, but certain other is definitely looking off. Certainly like Obiwan ROTS case all over again. But whatever, ordered...together with two new Death Troopers .

The Moff is up on Popcultcha. $350 early bird price. Used pennies to get him down to $300. It?s sad that that feels like a bargain these days.

Aliens are interesting design plus many collectors knows them from various books etc. It's not just about movies.

Agreed, they are interesting if they carry the story and have a purpose other than a background character sipping spice and selling deathsticks.

It is apparent that Hot Toys has been finding that magical number of figure production whereas they either sell out during the pre-order time-frame or shortly after release. I have a feeling this one will get scarce once shipping starts and be difficult to find at reasonable pricing. Just about every other figure in the "The Mandalorian" series has proven to be the case.

I've already got my pre-order in but for those of you on the fence, I would suggest you pre-order it and if later on, you don't want it, you'll be able to recuperate your funds.
