Ordered, but hope they will update the sculpt. The sculpt quality has really gone down. They usually nail older male head sculpts but really let this one down.

I put in a comparison pic between the HT Moff Gideon sculpt and that independent artist one of Gus Fring, right into the Iron Man sculpt fiasco on FB. Got 42 likes and several comments. No doubt someone at HT saw that, so maybe a 10% chance of them improving it.

Some photos from Facebook.

Sculpts have been softer as of late. I don?t see much likeness in this at all but still buying. Let?s hope it vastly improves. Maybe the mk85 backlash will get them to up their game

Every single time I see talk of a questionable sculpt I always think it's miles better in-hand than any of the photos. They've missed on a few but overall, the quality of these 1.5 inch tall sculpts is still pretty impressive. I'm on the fence on this one, not because of the headsculpt but because the character never blew me away...

Just wait until production reviews come out to make a decision. Pre-ordering makes no sense, considering figures are taking sometimes 2 years to come out, and some figures are looking noticeably different from production.

If you pre-order now, you may find yourself convincing yourself the figure is good or what you want because of sunken cost. Even if the production product isn't very good, you will see a lot of guys here say it is good because they have already sunk money into a thing and waited 18 months for it to arrive.

It makes sense when you have $25 coupons to burn through.

I'd say the opposite. If anything the Mk85 situation will mean they will no longer tweak headsculpts between PO proto and final. This is gonna cost them a fortune so going forward it will be what you see at PO is what you get. The whole thing is ridiculous anyway. The entitled a**holes bullied JC Hong into setting his FB page as private so no more headsculpt previews. Jerks have really struck a blow to the hobby over a headsculpt many are now saying "actually now I look at it, it's better".

No, if people say its good it may well be because they honestly like it. If they dont like stuff usually they just cancel their PO.

Furguson's earlier comment about the $25 codes is also valid; this is perhaps SSC's most insidious, yet successful economic scheme. Every time I see one I cuss to myself. Then I use the damn thing....

And, you got the issue of each iteration of a character tending to go up $20-30 as well. They recently did this to the Fett deluxe.

Plenty of reasons to PO.

:exactly: Hot Toys Jawa was my first ever cancellation and it was purely due to the final product being garbage. These things are too expensive to keep if you're not happy with them.

Yeah man I can?t believe some of the posts being put up on his page. It was quite bad and doesn?t warrant personal attacks. Criticize the sculpt but don?t go after the person. Messed up.

I for one still buy these regardless because you won?t find better still most of the time. Example Qui gon got a ton of hate, I thought the sculpt was softer but I actually really like it. He has prominence on my Jedi shelf

Does anyone know JC Hong's personal address? I'd like to send him more direct threats about the toy I'm not happy with.

:lol

Toddlers are learning and don't understand the world yet. These are adults and are massive *******s. It's a toy head, if you don't like it don't buy it.

Their bodies are, anyway. Who can tell what's sputtering in that dim pilot light they call a brain.

Wow, just took a closer look at this fig and was shocked by the $250 price. Seems to be a pretty simple release.
