So how many did you end up buying? Three?

All kidding aside, it's pretty humorous to see people (not you) obsessively asking about when this figure is going to drop, insisting that it include a head sculpt, then casually spurn it after getting exactly what they wanted. I mean, it's not like someone else is going to release a 1/6 Bo-Katan figure, plus if the sculpt doesn't improve there's always a chance a Nut Piz or Maxnut could take a crack at it.

I admit, I totally wanted this figure... but the price stopped me. While I was thinking on it, she sold out.

Now, I'm relieved I can stop obsessing about this drag queen and start discussing the next must-have figure.

Luke shall drop next Thursday!

Wow. Either their stock was limited or HT really can do no wrong with anything Mando related. I *do* think she looks cool, but she just isn't a big enough need for me to justify the price. Congrats to those who are getting her though.

It's not just Mando, this is a TCW character that is pretty well liked. TCW popularity is pushing her in a big way.

Stock is limited at all these sites by Sideshow (on purpose), Alter Ego posted after the Boba preorder that they only got 54 to sell. Sideshow just has the means to do it, literally every store that they distribute to is a small business that has little sway to change anything.

This show is an avenger like cash cow for hot toys. OT collectors like myself are screwed. Two ot releases last year and zero that release in 2021.
I bet mando v3 is next. He has been teased twice now. Hopefully he shown before my v2 ships so I can see which one I really need, as I am only sparsely collecting the mandalorian line. Not enough space or money!

I get a bad feeling that these limited episode characters are going to be low runs/high demand in the long run. We don't know when Bo-Katan is returning, so if you want one, this is the boat for a while.

We're seeing her in Season 3 before this figure even comes out. Probably see her go to Mandalore with Mando to dispute that whole situation they were in the last episode of S2.

I don't think people need to worry so much on missing out on this figure. There's always the Season 3 version where she'll probably have a bigger role even.

They probably should have just included a Darksaber since she'll almost certainly have it back by the time the figure comes out.

I?ve received confirmation from some inside sources that Sideshow heavily limits stock to other retailers in quantities that are FAR below what people would assume ? that?s a pretty $#@t business practice from a Distributor that has the sole North American rights.

I'd not heard she was signed on for S3.

Don't think they confirmed anything for the story of S3 but it's a very safe bet it's what we're seeing for the season. It's what S2 left unanswered and unresolved in the last episode.

Mando has the Dark Saber (and ended the season as the rightful ruler of Mandalore), Bo-Katan wants it and her plan is to go back to Mandalore to retake it. Mando has no Grogu and she asked him earlier on in the season that he's welcomed to come with her. Makes sense that that's where they're headed for S3.

The season is gonna air before this figure comes out regardless and that's without accounting for any delays.

I can't believe how quickly this sold out everywhere. I know Bo-Katan would be a popular figure, but I didn't think she'd be this hot. Guess I'm going to have to pre-order through Sideshow, which sucks, but I want to make sure I get one locked up.

I agree, I've been calling figures like Jango pretty much a deluxe figure as well based on the number of accessories it comes with.

I figured it might be the case that the deluxe versions of figures ended up selling better, which in turn worked out for Hot Toys since it has a higher profit margin.

Since they then knew what collectors would be willing to pay, they just pushed the prices higher while making it look like there are some deluxe-like accessories.

Granted there are other factors for the increasing prices of these like material costs and licensing fees.

I'm at least glad that the prices for troopers have not jumped up to the near $300 mark, though I imagine they try to keep that lower since some people are inclined to buy multiple troopers.

People get a couple extra accessories, which the figure should have come with no matter what, and they're jumping around like school girls and screaming " I love HT". This is exactly why HT can keep raising prices and they know it. There's nothing wrong with getting excited for a figure but HT's markups are getting crazy, especially during times like this. The level of enthusiasm here for a bare bones figure with a subpar headsculpt at $285 is ridiculous. Come on people, challenge them to do better and demand more for your money.

Underground Figures still has it available for pre-order. I've bought a figure from them before but haven't pre-ordered. It says on their page that you can do a pre-order without pre-payment on an honor system if you e-mail them.

Yeah I get the price being an issue, but Mando characters and PS4/PS5 Spidey variants are what's keeping me in the hobby right now (along with some of those surprisingly good 3rd party figures like Doc Ock, GG, Heimdall). Unlike you I have no desire to collect figures from the OT/PT/ST unless the character shows up on Mando, so while that opens the door for ordering a Luke yess that's not something a figure like B-K is competing against for me. But we won't see Luke next Thursday - that will be Wanda in all her Scarlet Witch glory! Unless she drops on Monday lol...
