All of these Youtubers have "insider information" on Hot Toys these days and make announcement predictions on their channel. It's more like throwing a bunch of crap on the wall and see if any of it sticks.

Aries is a SW fan. As a SW fan and collector, I would be very happy if his predictions are true.

Howard is a SW fan and ACG is next month. We will likely see the entire BB team on display at the HT booth. If HT wants fans to believe they are serious about completing the team, they should release two more before the end of the show.

ACGHK = Anime Comic Game Hong Kong. Big convention. July 23-26 this year.

Hot Toys has a presence there. Might be some new things revealed.

The guy seems to be genuinely informative to the collecting community, I kinda like him. But I severely doubt his "inside sources" insisting on the high possibility of Hot Toys going to complete the whole BB squad.

Agreed. As much as I really hate Hot Toys not finishing a clearly defined group. Be it Rogue One and Baze + Cassian or Justice League and Cyborg, I think there needs to be at least S2 announced. Which I'm also not 100% sure on. On the other hand there are a lot of episodes in this season. So maybe, just maybe....

Above all the show has to be successful and well liked. So they'll hold out on that until further along. Then of course they'll probably move on to Book of Boba, Andor show, Ahsoka show, Obi Wan movie, the Acolyte etc etc....

Show is doing very well so far, not sure if it is doing TCW Season 7 numbers but pretty well.

Had a nice uptick the last few weeks in demand, think Rex and Cad Bane showing up helped with that. It was also the most streamed original show for Disney Plus in the first few weeks of May. Hopefully sometime next week we see some of late May and June numbers.

With a show like this, animation for S2 is probably going on right now, though we might not have an announcement of S2 until the season is over, safe to say they're working on the next season right now.

Did anybody else want this figure, and the lost all interest by the end of the season? Even though Hunter was the most central of the Bad Batch characters, I felt he was the weakest character. Echo and Tech were woefully underused, Wrecker was fine if not a doofus, Crosshairs was a good villain.

But Hunter hardly did anything cool. His role was most just waiting for Omega to say please when she wanted to do something he didn’t, and he’d just silently nod and the squad was on their way. I don’t blame Hunter, more so Omega for holding his character back. But I just lost all desire to have his figure as he just completely underwhelmed me as a character.

For me it's more about the armour than the characters themselves. I see the figures as a ragtag band of mercenaries or criminals ten years or so in the future, because the series isn't at a point yet when Star Wars has become really interesting.

That point will come when all the clone armours are discontinued and the dominant imperial presence is the classic Stormtrooper. Star Wars becomes more compelling for me when it reaches the era of the adventures of young Han and Lando.

The main attractions for The Clone Wars and The Bad Batch are the visuals and atmosphere, rather than the stories which I don't really care about.

The Prequel Trilogy was too far in the past to get me interested, so you can imagine how indifferent I am to The Acolyte with its High Republic setting. I was the same with Tolkien - I was only concerned with The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings, and didn't care what happened a thousand years before.

Same goes for the going too far into the future too, beyond the lives of Luke, Han, Leia, etc which was practically the Sequel Trilogy with its scorched earth policy to make way for 'Rey Skywalker'.

People are happy to buy a dozen faceless and nameless troopers just because they like the look. I have no attachment to faceless Stormtrooper grunt 10391 as a character whatsoever, but they look cool.

Boba Fett barely does anything in the OT, yet he looks cool so people buy his dollies.

I liked the show, and the characters, but even if I didn’t I’d still buy these because they look cool.

I'm viewing it a bit like Rebels or Clone Wars. Both of those unfortunately took a season or two to iron out the wrinkles and really get rolling. I'm assuming this will be the same case here. With that bit of hope I cut S1 some slack.

I wrote that in another thread actually. Season 1 of Clone Wars was awful and season 1 of Rebels was junk. But both found their footing in subsequent seasons and have memorable stories. Filoni seems to need time to get his stories going and I respect that, it’s lead to the great characters and their stories. So I’m definitely not writing off Bad Batch and I anticipate season 2 will be good.

I guess I was really just referring to the figure here. I really wanted that Hunter but Omega just made me dislike his character, for now at least. I’m hoping season 2 brings better things for him. It’s just freaking Omega. I absolutely hate her more than Jar Jar. Not as much as Rose yet, but it’s close.

I was amazed by the armor textures/paint on the cartoon. Although they were clones their faces were different enough. I'm not getting the paint detail nor the individual faces. They say hunter is a new head but it looks like a repurposed clone head. Hope final versions will be different.
