I actually really like the material they used for Tusken Boba’s robe. Textile wise, it’s actually not cheap material, either.
Yeah it’s fine ,as is !!

Just don’t make the mistake of rinsing it to get dye out like has been done with their Jedi robes
It will not hold up

Plenty of dye comes out of the Jedi robes and the robes come out totally fine

On this one no dye is really released but once soaked it just disintegrates a little bit. Lots of fraying at the edges and lots of threading just falls away. No idea why but it does. It’s crappy in that regard. It will not hold up to a soaking ..

Just leave it as is and you will be good

I speak from experience on this one

Does anyone else feel like the mando gloved hands always look too clean? They could give them a wash or at least some some detailing between the fingers and I think it would make them look a lot better.

Hands have been a weak spot for Hot Toys, especially within the last several years.

They've tried to skate by with minimal effort and the bare minimum number of hands at times.

Not enough variety, not including hands to work with every accessory, cutting out neutral/relaxed hands, using a really hard material with tiny fragile wrist pegs, and sometimes the lack of detail and proper paintwork you mentioned.

Neither…Tamiya weathering kit..my go too..never fails IMO
Ah yes I've got a couple of those sets. It looks good, much improved over the stock hands.
I might try a careful wash and then copy your idea of using the Tamiya weathering kit when my figure turns up.

Sometimes washes get too dark for me…the Tamiya helps me get that faded used render on stock paint IMO ..doing this for years on different figures and models…but it’s your choice

Yeah, the skimping out on hands is especially annoying on figures like the repaint armor Boba, he really needs a hand specifically for the EE-3, and it’s super ridiculous that they didn’t include one.
At least it seems like they’ve gotten a little bit better with sizing, since the days of everyone coming with giant oversized oven mitt hands 🤣

It seems they will include that hand with BOBF version. I also feel not having better hands for mando is also annoying at the very least they should have included the relaxed hands from boba in this set.

It's crazy to think that sometimes even Sideshow figures come with better/more varied hands than Hot Toys.

I was thinking of using a light grey wash, only putting it in the recess areas, like between the fingers. The Tamiya weathering on the actual gloves would work better.

Should have my two in next week, don't think I'm going to do anything with the grime. Have we discovered if there is a hook for the dark saber yet?

I used the Tamiya on the recesses or between the fingers as well .. it still works great IMO, since you can apply the tamiya with a cotton like applicator brush.. you can also mix some other weathering with it , which I plan too

I really like this figure. However, I owned the original Beskar release and am having trouble justifying buying him again. Im saving to buy the Bad Batch team. Anyone wish they would have waited for this Mando?
