I really like this figure. However, I owned the original Beskar release and am having trouble justifying buying him again. Im saving to buy the Bad Batch team. Anyone wish they would have waited for this Mando?

I do, sort of, the first one is a good season 1 package cause you can update the v1 with grogu cradle, and have it pre mudhorn shoulder, then this one is a great season 2 package. Plus his armor was kind of full in parts of season 1 so I feel the first is still pretty accurate

Got it today and the cape cod polishing cloth. Quick unboxing photos below.

Will wipe the armor and do some proper posing/photography later. Glad I waited for this one! Good to finally have a Mando in the collection.

I don't mind having multiple Din Djarin figures because I want to be able to make scenes with all of them. And the costumes are different.

Crosshair probably won't come out till early 2024. Even if Tech and Wrecker get announced next week, they likely won't be released till late 2024. That's a lot of time to save. Hunter and Echo should be around for a bit as well if you don't have them yet.

And there's also no rush to get this figure. They probably made a lot of this figure and there's even two versions of it. It'll likely be around for a while.

And then there'll be an inevitable Season 3 version, meaning this might hang around even longer as people decide to wait (and they'll have to start giving away the Season 1 Beskar).

You could hold out for a discount. Get it if it goes on sale, pass if it doesn't.

No, tho I can understand people not wanting to double up. But the original Beskar release is excellent, accessory loaded. So is this latest version - I'll be able to mix up accessories, display the head sculpt but still have a masked version.

Whether I buy any MORE Mando - hard to say. Probably, tho I can't imagine making his design BETTER at this point. Adding color back into the armor? Black armor? After a while I might feel like I am buying the same figure over and over with minor variants, but will see.

Anyway got a notice from SSC to pay off final amount, so I should have him by month's end.

Got cape cod cloth in today. I'm dreading doing the cleaning as I need dry cloth tissues to clean it or does paper towels work also? It shouldn't be to hard obvioulsy take it slow and then clean it up.

I don’t recommend paper towel, many brands can be a bit abrasive and could mess with the chrome. Better safe than sorry.
I used a soft bath towel and it worked a charm

I could also probably buy the mineral spirits and use that as it seems to be more controlled.

You could use an old t-shirt or even some cotton makeup rounds.

I always say it’s generally better to get the Deluxe.

The cost difference is typically a small price to pay to have no regrets and the more complete package.

Even if you don’t use them, better to have the accessories than want them later which would be costlier. And not that it really matters but the Deluxe versions tend to be a bit more desirable when selling.

Thankfully in my case, I have zero interest in Mando hauling around Boba’s lost dignity. Hopefully that means the “less desirable” version will get the discounts first.
