Yeah I was a bit resistant to the full Beskar at first, since I got so attached to his original armor, but there's no denying how incredible he looks in it. And it makes him by far the coolest looking SW character yet.

It's an amazing sculpt. The paint however....ruined itLooks too young and soft, facial hair looks like crap, just doesn't hit the mark imo. HT sculpts haven't been doing it for me as of late.

Yep same situation as the Moff Gideon sculpt I feel. The soft paint app just destroyed the entire look of the actual sculpt, hell I have seen third party sculpts with better paint than themIt looks 3rd party.

woop
was just starting to lose my “so happy for you guys” spirit it seemed like everyone except me already got theirs from sideshow.
not too bad of a wait for second(?) batch at all.
There’s not anything I have a problem with the paint…in hand you can see the wrinkles and tone of his cheeks perfectly and realistically IMO the camera unfortunately doesn’t capture the fine details of the sculpt and it‘s a shameWait, what’s wrong with the sculpt paint? I thought it looked fine in Jingobell’s blogger photos; the sculpt I agree looks soft and scrubbed of skin texture compared to the prototype, but I’m not seeing a paint fail.

Yeah I can see it being one that’s tough to photograph. And I haven’t seen many attempts at nice Pedro portraits yet, either. Everyone’s been doing action poses and obsessing over the beskar weathering or recreating the shot of Mando holding Grogu. There’s not anything I have a problem with the paint…in hand you can see the wrinkles and tone of his cheeks perfectly and realistically IMO the camera unfortunately doesn’t capture the fine details of the sculpt and it‘s a shame
Great lighting will always make a differenceYeah I can see it being one that’s tough to photograph. And I haven’t seen many attempts at nice Pedro portraits yet, either. Everyone’s been doing action poses and obsessing over the beskar weathering or recreating the shot of Mando holding Grogu.
Here’s a good one by Yu nai tou that I thought was flattering. Skin texture comes through, too.
