I've overpaid for genuine HT parts but then think about whatever is annoying me and/or trying to get a 3D print or something and figure, whatever. Like I really wanted a knife for Mando V1.I got mine from eBay. Was around $23 shipped. Which is a lot for a little padded bit, but what the heck.

Because.
So SSC shipped this version; will see about the weathering. Good to know how to fix tho really don't see myself changing anything anytime soon. Unless it looks really bad. It will help set off from my V2 version besides being shinier. Should have him next week.
Same here in IN!Monday for me in NY.
designed and laser cut a diorama display for mando and grogu, inspired by moff gideon's cruiser hallway fight in the season 2 finale!

Thursday for me, supposedly. Then I can ponder whether to order Kuiil or hold out for more points or a coupon or something and THEN order Kuiil. As characters go, consider him a must, Mando would still be stuck with a stripped Razor Crest without him. This is the Way.Monday for me in NY.
It more pleasing on the eyes to me after the polished but I do compare how it contrast between the show and the figure and on certain episode/scenes it look spot on accurate but it too shiny and reflective most times. For all of you that have “polished off” some of the weathering, do you think the figure looks more consistent with how you anticipated it looking on your shelves?? I’m not trying to start a debate, but I am wondering if the heavy weathering is in some way a technique to provide a better photo product and bright light display look. It seems the additional weathering does keep the bright reflective “star” off the figure when a picture is taken with bright flash. This is a curiosity of mine, not anything more. Truth be told, maybe I am just hesitant to alter the figure in any way. I don’t know…
I actually feel like removing the weathering wasn't necessary. After having it a bit cleaned up it looks great and like it does in the show but I've seen blogger pics of him untouched and realized having the weathering wasn't as bad as I thought at the start. I reordered another figure (deluxe this time) and I'll keep that stock. Might use the polished one I already have and buy the swoop bike or just sell him later on.For all of you that have “polished off” some of the weathering, do you think the figure looks more consistent with how you anticipated it looking on your shelves?? Looks more like Marlon Brando from Viva Zapata to me.Looks too young and soft, facial hair looks like crap, just doesn't hit the mark imo. HT sculpts haven't been doing it for me as of late.
