DON'T TEMPT ME, FRODO! ... I mean, Barry

I dare not take it. Not even to keep it safe. Understand, Frodo. I would use this ring from a desire to do good... But through me, it would wield a power too great and terrible to imagine.

I wasn't trying to tempt you, lol.
Just to say if you don't buy, that's cool.
And if you buy this one, there's no rule that says you have to buy the next one.

Ha! You weren't trying, no, but your words are more powerful than you can possibly imagine

and there are no rules, you are right. Unfortuantely it doesn't stop me flipping thorugh these threads and thinking, hmmmm....

Yeah. There is no rule that says if you have one Cap, or Iron Man, or Avenger, that you need to buy them all.
I fully understand the DESIRE to buy them all, but these things are expensive!
When a new HT figure is announced i generally know right away if i am going to buy.
The only exceptions are figures which i hate to begin with then come to like, or figures where i ignore peripheral characters and then(Once i get the main character), decide i need the others for a display. When i got my DX12, i decided i needed Bane and Selina. But i have never wanted Joker. I still don't.

When the new Wolverine was announced, i loved the headsculpt(Still do, and don't mind the tache issue everyone is complaining about), but don't like the suit or tank top he was wearing, so i ordered some loose claw hands and headsculpts and decided to put some customs together. I don't need the full package of a figure to enjoy the component parts as they are, cobbled together my own way.

For SSM Cap, i never wanted it. The proto was okay, but the items that were wrong were never fixed, so i passed.
But i have nine other Caps in my collection, so when it was announced at £90, i bought within minutes. I don't feel it's any kind of centrepiece to my collection and would likely be one of the first to go if i needed cash and was able to sell it.

Ultimately, if you want it and can afford it, get it.
If you are still on the fence, just pass on it.
If you don't want it at £90, then you don't want it.

I nearly pulled the trigger on this today, my intention was (like others have done) to have a line of Cap's showing the evolution of the costume, but then I realised taht I'd just be right back in an other Iron Man situation where I have to get the next one to complete the set

And I got myself out fo that by selling all but the MK7 and 5

I just need to remain strong and RESIST!

Yeah I'm a bit of a completest like that.

Got to love that movie. :lol

Changed the pose last night when I had time to fix up the BESTA shelf, doesn't look as good from a high angle since the neck looks elongated and the shoulder/upper back area is terribly constructed muscle-wise and "scrawy" compared to the belly area, but placing him on the top-most shelf/unit and looking at it from a low angle, it doesn't look to shabby. (Apologies for the blurry pics)

Cap looks pissed that he's trapped in a case with those idiots. :lol

LOL Cap will soon be in his own shelf/unit w/ the rest of this First Avenger buddies, once I can afford it. :wink1:

Love the Lt. Gordon pose. Looks great like that! Wonder if nurse Joker is checking out the backside of Catwoman, lol....

Sucks that SS won't let me use the $20 off code for this, anyone know if there is any retailer that has him way bellow retail in the US?

I bought him on Amazon for $199 shipped last week. brand new. I looked around and couldn't find it cheaper. If you follow an eBay auction maybe, but i dont like using eBay.

Its a great figure I think. comes with lots of accessories, and a great representation of him in this suit.

Thanks, yeah I saw 5 seller that is under $200 shipped. Was hoping if someone found it cheaper. I may just get 1 from there. Only Cap figure I'm missing.

Yeah, $200 is way too much, I think. I paid $150 for mine just last month and there's no way he should've even been that high. Very cool figure still though, I don't wanna take anything away from it.

The free one that I won from a Twitter SSC contest arrived today. Very glad to have it, I like it for what it is. But I honestly probably never would have bought it for over about $150 or so.
