That suitcase looks great! Really stoked to get her now!

And yes I agree.. WTF is up with the dirty ass glasses and pepper spots? :slap:lol

If you want to see an updated Leon you NEED to buy this figure! If it doesn't sell well we won't see any other RE figures.

How do you guys know this. Is there a news letter.

Nah there's not a news letter. We're just going by the history of how Hot Toys usually operates. If the figures for a particular franchise are popular in terms of sales, they'll continue to make more of those figures (eg. Batman, Ironman, Avengers, etc). Or, if a figure line doesn't sell well, they'll just drop it entirely (eg. Assassin's Creed and Watchmen).

But, with that said, RE has always been one of their most popular lines.

Looks good with shades.

The lips are a bit weird.

Not really liking the sculpting of the arm sleeves.

I don't think they "dropped" AC2 as much as they only have license for the second game and Ezio was the only one worthwhile doing in that game..or at least I wish.

Are you kidding me, how many other lines has Hot Toys did only one or two figures from a license and then just quit. Expendables, Expendables 2, Superman, Enter the Dragon, X-Men Origins Wolverine, Avatar, Indiana Jones, Terminator 1, (two) Platoon, and Inglorious Bastards, Dutch + Billie (Predator), there are more. Even when they claim they’re going to do more it doesn’t mean anything.

I need to see a prototype or something.

Assasins creed didnt sell well with HT?

Nope. That's what we were discussing in the "Ada vs. Assassin's Creed" thread :lol. Hot Toys mentioned a few years ago that they would make more AC figures if Ezio sold well. But, he didn't and Hot Toys had since abandoned the line. Plus, in the most recent interview with Howard Chan (the President of Hot Toys), he stated that they'll just focus on MGS and RE for their VGM figure line.

Lol well damn... I bought one and I thought he sold pretty well. No wonder that dsorkya kid was so pissed.:lol

Hot Toys is definitely planning to do the entire line. The Leon figures sell extremely well - they'd be foolish to skip him.

That would be great to get a Leon, but I wonder if he's been a quick seller because of how rare he is nowadays or was he that popular back at release?

So that means we can say goodbye to any chances of a AC3 Connor from HT? :monkey2

Everything you mentioned as an example there is riddled with road blocks in terms of actually making the characters due to them needing to fork out a ton of money on likeness rights. And we dont know exactly how much people would charge, but all thoes things you mentioned are full of A-C listers. So maybe it wouldnt be worth it to release more than 1-2 figure from a line in thoes cases. That is not a problem at all with VG figures.

Well..wasn't REmake and RE6 faces based on real people? Unless they sign a clause that lets Capcom use their likeness in any way they want, HT will have that same problem too. I heard that is what happened to Jill and why her face doesn't look like the game face.

I think the newer games have been totally built up faces from scratch given our technology now. But Facial likeness wont be a problem with HT pumping out RE figures given i only know of Jill Valentine from remake's real face. And then, whats the chances of them making a STARS Jill?

Even then, HT doesnt even need to go the Remake route and just invent faces under the label of just "Resident Evil" for the original game. Or use the face they did with BSAA & Battlesuit jill but give it a new hairsculpt.

+ With Video game characters, its not as important to get the faces to look exactly like them. We have leeway because they are video game characters afterall. But the initial post i quoted, with all the movies the big selling point for their figures would be reliant on them getting the facial rights.

Eh..I don't know. With the realistic graphic of games nowadays, you can really see the details in the characters faces, so even if it's not modeled based on a real person, fans would still comment if it doesn't follow the character depiction closely. And the license is per game title, instead of all the games in the title, so they can only use RE4 and RE5 so far..unless the costumes is in the game.

And RE5 Jill was the same face as REmake I think..the model didn't give permission to use her likeness in the figure so that's why the Jill figures looks more doll-ish since HT had to do from scratch.

Jills face changed up a bit in 5 and completely for revelations :-/

I dont think HT Leon, Krauser, Sheva, Jill or now Ada look much like the Video game characters at all. But i dont mind because the figures look great.
