Whiplash II would be an easier figure than this. Essentially with that one you'd need simply a reveal head.

Unlike with Iron Monger whose whole chest cavity opened to reveal the upper torso of Stane.

Agree with you Mike. I think the most complex hurdle of a Whiplash Mark ii other than the LED lighting would be the retractable whips that were on each hand.

not really. simply make the whips removable, and bendy. and you're done.
if you want to look like they're coming out/ going in, simply include a few whips of varying lengths.

Yes I agree. And with lighting effects to it, I apologize now in advance if I get you name wrong. I believe it is Ben goes by Bisharp/t (Sorry) has done some great lighting effect whips for a custom Whiplash. So can't see Hot Toys not pulling something great off.

Seeing as HT are tackling a character the size of Iron Monger, does this mean we're going to see a Whiplash in his full-body suit of armor then?

Old news and that isn't close. Sites like that set a low retail PO price to draw collectors into shopping from them.

Can't wait for the official pictures and stats. That's when you know the option for pre-order is just around the corner.

I remember they put up a preorder for the HT Captain America before everyone else but at that time they overshot the price by 25%. I guess all that listing means is that preorders will start in a couple of weeks.

I don't know how close they get on the price of their preorders but this seems too good to be true. I'd be ecstatic if the final price was even a hundred dollars more than this.

"Pricing is tentative pending vendor agreement."

I entered this into google translate and selected the marketing bs-to-plain English option and it said:

"This item will cost a crap load more than this"

Its pretty stupid for that company to put up a PO when SSC the official distributor hasnt. That means I can put up PO for The Avengers and TDKR on ebay now.

LOL...somebody sign this guy up for Conan O'Brien's writing staff!

Yeah I'm sure they'll be able to do it, those large gauntlets would be perfect for housing any electronics needed to light up the whips. Also cant wait for Iron Monger, going to have to work a few weeks to get that big bastard :lol

Actualy $450 for a figure is obscene, but HT has been training us well over the last few years, so now that it's here we accept it more readily. Just my opinion though. So many things coming this is gonna be hard to pass on though
I agree. I checked the latest photos from SDCC, and I'm almost sure the height is 16", comparing it to the Mark III stealth next to it.
That means the monger will be about 1-1/2 to 2" shorter than it should be if it were scaled correctly with the 12" suits.
That in mind, I think $350 would be the maximum FAIR price.

I wonder if HT people lurk around this forum, to see how many peeps are willing to pay obscene prices... something to consider.
(don't be so friggin enthusiastic- we all might suffer higher prices because of it!)
