How do we know it's Disney for sure? Yes they own Marvel, but how to we know this comes straight from them? From everything that Marvel has done to actors in the past it sounds like something they would do.

Well being that Disney now owns Marvel, they ultimately are responsible for marvel, plus they have to power to do thing like this..

If that's true, then why was Diamond Select allowed to produce merchandise from the film?

1 figure is nothing really... plus Diamond can get a license from fox directly. where as Hasbro (huge ties with Marvel and Disney) has legends listed as "X men", not "DOFP" or anything, so no money goes to Fox. Plus HT's is really close with Marvel and Disney, so all they have to do is ask HT's not to do it, and im sure they would comply

Not just Rob. The lack of merchandise coupled with the cancellation of the Fantastic Four comic, coupled with Robs words show that in all likelihood Disney/Marvel are trying to bury awareness of those franchises because they don't monopolise them.

If X-Men weren't among their biggest sellers I could easily see them cancelling them to spite Fox and the by extension screw over the fans.

Thing is that wouldn't hurt the movie at all, just the comics and the comics fans. Comics don't improve movie sales and movie don't improve comics sales.

Diagree with that. Comics don't improve movie sales but the movies do improve comic sales.

So cancelling them wouldn't hurt Fox but would hurt themselves. Makes Sense.

I would understand if they cancelled the series because they feel Fox is doing a terrible job with the FF movie production but the DOFP situation is beyond stupid.

Greedy bastards, I hope Fox keeps pumping out quality films so Marvel never gets the rights back.

This obviously shows they don't are about there fans, just money hungry suits who want nothing but to make money.

So whats the verdict on figures? Not getting them? Or just unlikely?

Until Hot Toys comes out and tells us that they will/won't make them, it will be up in the air for now. Looks more and more like I'll just have to pick up the latest Wolverine for my collection.

I figured that. Just got rid of my last stand wolverine and trying to determine if I should get a newer one. Not sure the wolverine is worth that price tag to be honest...

My guess would be highly unlikely or we would have seen something when the movie released. They have a great Xavier/McAvoy HS, they just need to pick an outfit and put it up for PO.

Just saw the movie. I will take One (1) Hot Toys 1/6 scale X-Men: Days of Future Past Quicksilver collectible figurine please:lecture

Oh I was honestly just curious if anything new came up. Not eager for these but curious none the less.
I'm just joking with you lol. I'm also curious and really wanting a wolverine for my collection.
