Nah, this thread is a big whiny joke and should be locked anyway. The people claiming this is going to put Hot Toys out of business are only stating such because they, personally, can't afford HT anymore and I highly doubt any of them (based on the tittybaby dribble they've posted) have a business degree let alone any first-hand experience running an actual profitable business.
Besides, there are several other threads like, "Do you think HT prices are getting out of hand?" or the "How much is too much?" threads that are more appropriately named to discuss what this thread has failed to do.
honestly, if you don't like the thread then Don't Read it. Its that simple. Other people would like to converse about what they think and their opinions. that doesn't mean keep coming back to this thread to talk crap to others, so you can think Highly of your self while REALLY you need to learn respect for others.

Hot toys out of business nah, but they will have their ups and downs like all companies.

I will even admit I'm one of the ones that fall into the cant afford this anymore, so I'm gonna have to be extremely selective.
Currently I'm even in the predicament of whether I should just stick to TFA Cap or cancel my Avengers Cap.
But I'm not gonna complain that Avengers Cap is not cheap like TFA.
Avengers made a crap load of money, and such, business wise, it is smart for HT to raise their prices. It means more money for them which is what they are in the business of.
Its not to do us favors and keep the price down so we can have both figures.

Bottomline, they are in the business to make money.
Sure they may listen every once in awhile to people's critism cause of course they want their customers happy.
But dont think that they have change things at all cause of specifically..."YOU".

When Hot Toys produces figures for huge prices and then months later you start seeing sales on them to try and move them out that should be telling you something (New Goblin for example).

I like low prices too, but the only thing that's going to help that is less demand for their stuff. More players in the field will help, but I don't see anyone really occupying the same stage with them for a few years (or until they raise their prices to EB levels). I'd love an American company like Sideshow to really challenge them. Of course then they'd probably have to rework the whole "official distributor of HT" thing.

My point is, look how much the figure was priced at when it first came out and look how low they can go to try and get rid of their stock of it after a year or so. The difference really starts to show you how much we're over paying for these figure and how much Hot Toys is sticking it to us.
