i really want a smirk or happy landa head, I was hoping they would do that. I mean not to say this figure doesnt look amazing, but I love that sinister but happy approach rather than the dark serious.
Either way will most likely purchase, but stil.... needs a glass of milk.

His hat changed from patches to metal badges etc about 40 mins into the film. He wears this hat most of the film, not just at the end. I don't know why Hot Toys has given us a mix of 2 hats, maybe the final product will be different.

The likeness isn't that bad for this one, but it's not as spot on as Aldo for me. The face is way too perfect imho. Waltz's smirks and frowns are never straight, one side always leans more then the other. It gives him this great uniqueness to his expressions that the figures misses. I am really sad there is no smirk as well. I hope there is a bit of an outcry and Hot Toys adds one in. Either way I must have this figure and will be buying it, but it doesn't mean I can hope for a few changes

Yeah he always seems to have a weird tilt to his mouth.
Like you let on. Tweaks or no tweaks, this figure will be mine.

Funny I was thinking earlier today when the official specs for Landa would be out. I think he looks really good. Not sure yet if I'll get him cause if I do, I'll want to get Aldo to go with him plus I'm not sure what my friends and family will think with me having a Nazi on my shelf especially since I'm Asian
Same here...except i'm of Israeli descent! but i did really enjoy the movie and this HT landa figure is really nicely sculpted!

They didn't. They'll say this figure looks good, but go on and buy their 6 versions of Iron Man and Predators from movies that are getting increasingly bad instead.

It's funny Ernst Rohm, leader of the SA and one of the main guys that got Hitler into power was said to be openly homosexual and was actually a close comrade to Hitler. Even before his execution, Hitler was said to have hard time authorizing Rohm's death.

My biggest gripe is his hat being a mix of both that he wore in the film. The hat with the shiny leather brim should have metal badges and silver braid like the photo. Silken Floss has the right type of had, but the badges and colour are wrong.
