I'll probably get flamed for this, but the more I look at the Ironman PF, the less I dig on the flag. He looks great but there's just something gaudy about the U.S. flag with the PF. Stark wasn't that big of a patriot (his main love being himself) and it seems a bit cheesy, especially after Civil War (and yes, I know this is silver-age Ironman).
I thought the same thing. He'd look so much better without it, I'd probably even buy him if he wasn't holding it.

Agreed. And it really doesn't jive with countries in the EU even people here, who aren't too particularly happy with the U.S. at the moment. I can't see someone in France proudly displaying it. :lol

I think I just realized something - work and Spooktacular simply don't mix. I missed out on that Crown of Elessar thing due to a conference call, and didn't even have a chance to enter the Freddy PF contest since I was busy running around, getting some documents together to fax to a client.

Truth be told, I'm kinda pissed about it. It's not Sideshow's fault, so I've got no-one to blame but myself, I guess. But it almost feels like I'm being punished for having a job during normal business hours. Doesn't Sideshow realize that the only reason I work is so I can AFFORD their products?

Catch-22, man.

I'm not digging the flag either, but it's the IM Comiquette price tag that I like even less.
The first one was $70 cheaper and far more complex and better posed. It doesn't seem like it's worth $325.

agreed.....

I entered for the free Crown of Elessar, but there wasn't a order number since it was sold out. I said just that in the email, so hopefully I don't need it.

I had the same problem with the T-800 the other night. It said second chance at a T-800 (currently sold out), but I couldn't check out and get an order #. I just emailed them anyways. Either the code was hidden in the photo area and I didn't look, or someone snatched it right away at Midnight, since I saw it at 4 am.

I kind of agree. It seemed funny to me that that weekend (when everyone was home) was dead but the middle of the day during the week is super busy. Oh well, maybe I am just bummed that I can't win anything. :)

The Flag is something that goes with Captain America, not Iron Man.

You guys aren't serious, right? :D

This is 'classic' Iron Man, a character Lee used to epitomize the capitalist industrial America of the Cold War. Yea, Cap actually WEARS the flag, but Stark was every bit the symbol of American patriotism in the 60's, taken to the extreme. I'm not suprised in the least that a classic representation of him would include the flag.

Insert your related word here ex: work, food, sleep, life, etc. :rotfl
"_____ is for the weak!"

I understand both sides. Imagine if your boss told you that you had to work all weekend and stay after hours, till early morning, because of some big promotion they were holding. I'm glad we get ANYTHING AT ALL in the evening and on the weekends. If life interferes with me winning something, then oh well. That's why they say, "that's life."
