This IS a US based company. Just as Hot Toys IS a Hong Kong based company.
Comparing them to HotToys isn't right. HotToys doesn't sell directly to the U.S. Neither does Medicom. Yes, Sideshow is based IN the U.S. I don't think anybody was arguing that. However, they not only sell direct to the international market (unlike HotToys and Medicom) but also have a warehouse overseas which distributes products for them.

They even have a slew of EU questions/answers in the FAQ section for international customers. Let's assume the EU market might not be as strong as the U.S. market (as none of us really know for sure), it would be completely illogical for a business to not recognize a market which is every bit as loyal as the U.S. market, whether it be a blonde Subject 1025 variant or an SSE Universal Monsters dio.
EDIT: On a side note, yet relative, I paid double the price for the blonde Subject 1025 EU exclusive to import her and complete my collection. The only hint most of us Dead collectors had that she even existed was the accidental posting of her on Sideshow's site during ComiCon. So I had to track her down and pick her up from an alternative source at about the same price as it cost me to pick up both the ones I already had. Did I know Sideshow would offer her on their website? No. Did I gripe about her being an EU exclusive unavailable in the U.S.? No. Did I gripe about paying double for her and have her imported? Again, no. I didn't even gripe when I'd paid double and there she was, available for 1/2 the price to any Spooktacular freak paying attention. I understood that as a completist and collector of the rare exclusives, that there will be times where I will have to find alternative means to acquire products needed to complete my collection. The hunt is part of the game that is collecting.
