I only have three different kinds of figures displayed in my house right now (no room), all my Hot Toys are in cases or small containers, my Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Classics are out in the open and haven't been out long enough to collect much dust. My Masters of the Universe Classics are also out in the open and get dusty within a matter of days and I use air spray once every couple of days to try and keep it off, but I end up ever few months pulling them all down dusting everything and putting them back. It's a lot of work.

Ahh, air spray, that's a good idea. Great for all the tight spaces that a brush or duster wouldn't be able to get to.

dont have figures anymore but statues, so i just dust them out with make up brushed (never used ones of course).
problem with compressed air spray is that it leaves liquid residue and moisture.
with statues might not be a problem, but i used to collect Saint Seiya myth cloth figures, which are figures with metal armor and I was recommended not to use air spray to remove dust from them.

so does anyone have suggestions to clean clothing on Premium Format line? I've a Cap Am Comic PF and it has some brown stains on the white lines around the belly area. Thinking of putting it under the faucet and soft brush with dishwashing liquid. thoughts?

Yeah I'm really going to need to dust down my PF's really soon. Not sure how to go about that....

that's the problem with cloth, especially the non-dark colors. is it really safe to shower them? i tried dry dusting my Boba Fett PF and the dirt smeared on his garment. like there's some oil combined with the dust. my prob now is the stain on Cap's white stripes

A few times I have gotten a "Like New" statue or mini bust that is caked in dust.
Then I just wash them in the kitchen sink!

I've got a question.
Instead of buying cans of compressed air over and over again,
is there a mini air compressor on the market?
Not one that a contractor would use for nail guns, but maybe for inflating bike tires or sports balls?
Something with low PSI but can blow clean a shelf or figures with some dust on them?

well i tried cleaning one of my statues with the compressed air cans and the paint flaked off:thud: guess ill stick to my little duster from now on

For real?:horror

yeah lol and it was on my wolf predator life size bust around the collar I was getting ready to pack him up to ship him off so i was dusting him off and well quite a bit of it chipped off:( guess I'll probably keep him for a while and repaint the collar.

Sorry to hear that bro, I won't be using a compressed air can again.:lol

Wow thanks for letting me know. :horror I was getting ready to do that since I display all of them in the open. The dust builds up fast. :thud: How does one clean the cloth when it's full of dusts?

Cap America Comic PF went to the tub last night to get some cleaning. Very soft brushing to the cloth with dishwashing soap. Next one's going to be Thor Comic PF. I wouldn't recommend this to stats with leather garments.
