Wow thanks for letting me know. :horror I was getting ready to do that since I display all of them in the open. The dust builds up fast. :thud: How does one clean the cloth when it's full of dusts?

Yeah that was the first statue that I have that has ever happened to though so idk what the deal was I wish it was on a less expensive statue though lol.

i always wondered how those worked with dust, do you own one vs? Do you actually see a noticeable difference in the amount of dust?

Yes.... And I love it. It doesn't eliminate all dust but the plates pick up a lot of it. Every couple months, I run the plates with water to get rid of the dust.

Cap America Comic PF went to the tub last night to get some cleaning. Very soft brushing to the cloth with dishwashing soap. Next one's going to be Thor Comic PF. I wouldn't recommend this to stats with leather garments.

That is kind of who I clean the keyboards. Only no soap. Just take them in the shower and clean board. BTW let dry for a week before plugging it back in your computer.

someone previously mentioned that polystone and water dont work well? how so? i dont see anything happening / different with the PFs I bathed

I dust my statues with my wife after dinner. Then we make love. Afterwards we turn on the statues' lights and recline and admire for an hour or two. I mean we REALLY LOOK! We point out the beautiful parts and have our cameras ready in case there is a rare photo opportunity. So few of those these days as statues are becoming harder and harder to come by. Then we read in bed until we fall asleep.

did you take off his clothes or the whole statue went into the tub?
how did you dry it, especially underneath his clothes if capt still wearing his clothes.

Curious to know what anyone thinks of something like this:

I have read a few reviews where people say it's "good, but not quite as powerful as canned air." Might the reduction in force be a good thing? I would hope a little air blowing over a statue wouldn't hurt anything, but I know some on here have expressed concern. I'll definitely be investing in some soft brushes. Presently, I've been using microfiber cloths, canned air, and painting sponges covered with cloths. cleaning.jpg

I've been using one of those rocket blowers... I've come to the conclusion that blowing air/canned air doesn't really work. You can blow the loose top layer of dust off, but dust is oily and it sticks- gotta wipe it off. I don't recommend using cloths, you could snag it on a delicate part leading to breaks. Got a big fat makeup brush and it works well. Still eats up a lot of time though... I've been getting materials to build an acrylic case- one of my next projects

My eventual goal is to combine a good Hepa filter for the room w/ daily air cleanings. As for storage, I'm in plans to build a Besta unit, which I doubt will do much more than reduce accumulation. I just need an easy system since I can't really do dedicated cleaning more than maybe once a week. I'm also finding it difficult to keep the inner dreads of my Pred bust dusted.
