that's why i rented a storage space next to my apt, for about $100/month you get a bathroom sized storage space, which is more than enough to store all the boxes since they stack easily.

The bigger problem is where to display the statues, they take up so much space. I can fit only about 2 shelves for a total of 6 statues in a 45" full sized curio.

Hahahaa, and that old woman looks calm as ever. Walking about like nothin's happening. :wave

I used to work at a soccer shop, and I got robbed once, and the dude told me to wait in the back, and while I was in the back, some old lady came in to buy a pair of socks for her grandson. The guy grabbed the cash out of the register and walked out the door, and she didn't think anything of it. I was on the phone with 911 when she came around the back looking for an employee who could ring her up.

Moral of the story. . . old people are dumb.

As pointed out by another member, playing statue tetris is awfully simple; fitting statues and make ur house classy, not so much.

Like me, I can never display my statues as neat as VS or Darth. It is sad.

Many people refuse to get in the hobby because of space problem. FYI just imagine u are in manhattan and you desire to collect statues.

I am in Manhattan and I literally live in a box. I do have a walk in closet packed with HT figures in their boxes I can't display any of my figures in detolf. I can only display one or 2 at a time on my PC workstation. My closet is all figures my other regular stuff has been integrated into my living room/bedroom decor. My GF just loves me for this as you can imagine !

Do u collect statues as well? I am fortunate that I have a roof and a 250 ft room for boxes.

Manhattan is expensive real estate as it is. And I am sure Hong Kong is too. Space is a luxury there.

78 sq ft any one? Of course not everyone live like that, LOL. But I am sure its cheap.

Re: people on the forum

don't use credit cards to buy your stuff
CC can be your best friend or worst enemy. Use it wisely & we sure will benefit from it. And I think we should collect what we can afford. Not make logical sense if you have to be in great debt just to collect something you can't afford. :nono

I live in a small Kew Gardens apartment and I hardly have room to display any figures myself. I only have two figures on display, and I interchange them occasionally with my other Hot Toys figures. I love NY, but it's hard to find good real-estate if you have a large collection that you'd like to display.

I don't know how the hell I afford all my stuff. As time goes on, my taste gets better which becomes more expensive.
