If a figure is re-released and I didn't get it on the first time there are 2 things that I'd take into consideration...is the price the same or is it higher cos of the newer features or paint app.
If it's higher than the original I might not buy it.

Personally I don't mind HT re-release figures since it make some collectors happy. However, I do find the delays in releasing new products an annoying trend. I don't know the exact effect of re-releasing old figures has on the production schedule, but I figure some products will get pushed back.

On a positive note, the delays just makes me loose interest and cancel my orders. Guess more money stay in my pocket in the end. :)

:lol Not me...I'm too old for that stupid ____. But I think they have found a new home here, and it's only going to get worse, incase you haven't noticed already. :cuckoo::lol

Gonna be honest here: Sometimes pissed when they re-released a figure that I already have esp. if I bought it @ premium price..Sometimes happy when I missed it and will have a second chance to own it w/o paying crazy money. :monkey3

Don't judge me..:peace

Its only natural really. All we can do is accept it and follow the old cliche ''don't like it don't buy it''

Iit's not like they're doing it with all the releases. It's only the really popular ones that scalpers are trying to profit from. I would rather HT make the money and give us an updated version than one cent go to scalpers and counterfeiters'.

But instead, they're taking more of your money and giving you an inferior version. :lol

How does that work? :lol

I don't understand anyone who wants a re-release because they missed out. This is a hobby, this is collecting.

Stamp collectors don't get a re-released 1956 stamp.

Christmas Village collectors don't get a re-released Santa's Workshop set.

I don't just start collecting Vintage Kenner figures and then tell Hasbro to re-release a Vinyl Cape Jawa. You pay out the ass for a complete collection.

It's because this board is full of 'poser' collectors who just rent their figures anyway. One minute they are cryin' cuz it's not fair they missed out on a release when they were late to the party. "Why don't i deserve??" they say. Next minute they got a For Sale thread. And it's not just a For Sale thread. It always has to be a For Sale thread with a reason. Like "moving" or "getting married" or "school bills" etc. As if anybody here gives a ____ why they are selling their stuff.

That's not a fair assessment. Sometimes people don't have enough space for everything they like so they have to prioritize. Sometimes a product just doesn't impress them in person. Sometimes they need money for something else because of a situation or because of bills. and sometimes something gets announced/released that they like more, so they sell previous items for room and to buy the new product.

I've sold many figures before (ones that I wanted badly) because of all of those situations mentioned above.

Yes and that's fine, but why do they have tell the world why they're selling?? Just sell the ____.
