How many of you will really keep your Biker Scout order ???

I'm surprised how many people keep using the phrase "sold out" in reference to this PF. You do realize, don't you, that none of them have been sold yet. Just because there were enough pre-orders placed in eight hours to tentatively exhaust the supply, that in no way implies a commitment from all of those people to complete the transaction.

With Sideshow's generous cancellation policy, it's really a no-brainer to click on the "Place order" button, just in case. Heck, I know that's what I did. But I also now know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that I will be able to pick one of these up for at least $150 below retail, within six months of the initial shipment, if I even still want one at that point. Why would I now keep this order, and throw $150 away?

Since this is not an exclusive there will be some Sideshow dumping on the dealers later on.
Who says they will take them after the whole your only getting one thing. I don't think I would order any more then I had pre-orders for. Why would the dealers want to get stuck with them if they don't sell.

Look, the rumor of one per dealer may not be true for every dealer. But the kneejerk reaction to immediately cancel makes absolutely no sense to me.

Is it not the same piece that everyone said was the coolest ever? It would seem that the edition size is the sole important factor in a purchasing decision.

We had a similar reaction when they upped the Doom exclusive edition size. Did the price ever bottom out on that one? Iron Man?

Wow, those guys are pissed. I think I only saw 2-3 that were keeping it.

Yeah, I think about 90% of the people on that forum get pissed everytime it looks like they wont make a profit.

Why am I cancelling? because Im pretty confident I will be able to find it for cheaper on Ebay or later on down the road. It has nothing to do with how cool the piece is or isnt. I call it smart shopping.

In regards to Doom or Ironman, null and void. Those retailed for half the price of the Biker Scout and much smaller edition size to begin with.

There are 1500 Dooms total. Even though the speeder is more expensive, considering how much more popular Star Wars is than Marvel, I think it's a fair comparison.

And if the dealers aren't getting them, where are the "cheaper on ebay" coming from? People paying full price and taking a loss?

Dave, this goes back to my premise . . . Last I checked, Marvel aficionados have deeper pockets than SW guys. I'm not sure if it's a die-hard thing, but it seems there are more die-hard Marvel fans (meaning through thick or thin they hold onto them) than SW. Or . . .maybe it's cos Marvel pieces kicks SW figures.

I mean . . .I love Darth Maul, and I love Captain America . . .But, when both of them ship at the same time, which Exclusive do you think is better at holding its value? Nuff said.

Exactly! Sorry Sideshow, but 1500 of these at $800US a pop?? I mean if it was a main character or something, maybe....but I will get this cheaper later on too...I don't see this holding it's value, not $800 value anyway..

I was just thinking, for a 1/4 scale PF Biker scout alone...how much would you pay?? About $350USD right? So, basically it's $450USD just for the speeder bike?? :google Now, I KNOW I am cancelling...I didn't think of it that way until just now..
