How much packaging do you keep?

I keep everything, shipping boxes included. I think its dumb to throw away the boxes. Not only have you hurt the value of the piece by throwing out the art box...but if you ever have to sell it what the hell are you going to ship it in now?

If it's a box, I keep it. It'll help retain resale value. I do throw away the shipping boxes.

PS. OH SHEET, this thread is so old, haha.

Aren't the empty boxes worth anything at all to anyone? Would anyone buy or trade them?

There are some figures I know I will never sell - but I keep the boxes 'cause some day down the line, my grand kids or great grand kids will be sifting through my stuff and find my figures... and what they won't be saying is, "Aw, if only grand dad had kept the boxes!"

This past month, I've gone and tossed almost every single piece of packaging only keeping the DX batman and joker boxes, Alien, and the outer slipcases for the predators and aliens. I pretty much cleared out a room of stuff by doing this and I have no intention of selling.

If the box was made to be opened and closed, I usually keep it. Like, if I can put the whatever back in it for transport, she's a keeper. But if it's just a blister card or the box wasn't made to be re-closed, then I toss it.

I always throw away the mailing box, not enough room....

I always keep the boxes ..i can't imagine anyone throwing out a hot toys box,i mean how could you? ..there always so beautiful.:)..and in your way:gah:!!

I keep everything but the outer shipper.

why would you throw away the brown shipper boxes. you have lots of PFs don't you? they don't take up anymore room then the art boxes because the boxes should stay in the brown shipper boxes. when l buy my PFs and if the seller doesn't have the brown shipper box to the PF, for me its a big turn off. me l keep all the boxes all the foam sheets everything.

:lol...I was just thinking the same thing.

..and Im with you on buying 2nd hand pieces without the brown shipper. I like to keep everything as original as possible. I even keep the little yellow QC stickers (even though their total BS). So when I see ebay sellers without any original boxes its a huge pass for me.

I keep mainly everything, for statues especially, HT's not so much, I keep the art box and some shippers if it's directly from HT but if I don't get a HT shipper I don't keep the shipper that the HT's box came in.

But it's a big deal for my PF's, Com's, 1:1's and Dio's.

I keep the boxes, but not the shippers for my 1:6 figs. I may have to re-evaluate that when I move into my new (likely waaayyyy smaller) place. :p

Throw all boxes away. just takes up value space I can use for my son's toys.

Keep it all. The tissue paper, the plastic wrapped around the accessories and figures, the twisties, everything!
