Hi
Would like to know, how to fix if statue LED light is no longer functioning for statue like Iron man?

Thank you

If the light is broken it's likely you can't fix it. It would require dismantling the statue and I don't think the bulbs are replaceable. You could try using rubbing alcohol and a q tip on the contacts and fresh batteries in case corrosion is stopping the current.

big reason why I don't think statues need lights, I rarely put them on, and they could lead to possibly not working which detracts the value when trying to sell

:goodpost: I think in most cases I've used this technique and it has worked 8 out of 10 times :wink1:

actually very true Pat :exactly: I very rarely turn my lights on in fear that they'll stop working!!! :lol then on the day that I feel like showing off to friends and family and turn on those bad boy lights....they don't bloody work!!! Typical :slap :lol :lol

Exactly. I have had so many problems with the switches being used now on even recent pfs. Both my GL and my Darth Malgus have electrical issues.

I think lights can make a statue look better where it makes sense. Like Cyclops and Green Lantern, makes sense. People wanting Apocalypse to have light up eyes, it's just unnecessary.

But overall I never liked lights on a statue for the main reason that by design, they WILL stop working at some point. Even if it takes many years, they will die. The life of lights is shorter than the plastic and cloth these statues are made of, and for pieces where the idea is limited collectibility with the strong likelihood of increasing in value, it's amazing that so many people want a feature that by design will fail and therefore lower the value of the piece. And as someone who doesn't collect with any intent to sell, I can still say I don't the value of anything in my collection to take it hit for something it was designed with. At it's most brutal truth, lights are built in failures waiting to happen.

Now, I should go check my Cyclops and Dark Link...

All the more reason they should be made with replaceable parts. SS is in business to make money so why are they not doing it? I would love to keep my lights on for hours a day instead of a few minutes to see it then right back off.

Totally agree. For sure SS can engineered this replaceable parts into their statues. It's not hi tech stuff. It will be great to just leave iM lights instead of having to on off on off continually, and having to worry of it breaking down.
