How to make a GIF

I have a tiny Quicktime movie that I want to make my first GIF with and I don't know how

I tried downloading a few programs but they didn't work

I have a .MOV file, it's not images, but actually a movie that is a few seconds long, perfect for a GIF.

It's funny because with my Quicktime player I can actually LOOP the movie and it's how I want the GIF to play.

Can someone please help me

It doesn't recognize my .mov file, same problem as all the other programs I've tried.

Oh well, probably because of copyright issues, who knows.

The problem I'm having is that i'm using my Batman Begins digital copy (MPEG4/MV4) and it says that the AAC is copy protected (the movie audio) so it's not allowing changes to be made.

I will prevail, this GIF needs to exist.

You can use photoshop's animation tools to spit out a gif.

I ended up making a real crappy GIF so I gave up and went the YT route
