Me too. Sure, I like when a friend tags along, but I also love kicking back, a drink in one rest, sweet tarts mini's in the other, feet on the rest, and NO talking whatsoever.

Wow, for a "kid's" movie that was awesome. The story was original, the acting/voice over work was spot on (Gerard Butler - acting?! Jk Rock n' Rolla was sweet) and the animation was fantastic. Toothless' eyes were just like Puss n' Boots, aww so cute.

Really though, this movie was great. Might buy it when it's released.

I've gone to the movies alone quite a few times, I love it.

I did it alot before my Dad passed away, now most of the time my Mom goes with me. She likes most of the same kind of movies I do, I just won't see some of the ones she likes, like really sentimental ones or "chick flicks".

Saw it. Loved it!
Amazing animation! So well done. Great artwork.
The 3D effect was very good and easy on the eyes. Way better experience than Alice was.
The vikings were great and the voice acting of Gerard Butler and I think Craig Ferguson, if I'm not mistaken. Sounded like him anyway.

Was it iMax 3D or regilar theater 3D?

I just rated this 9.5 in the 'rate the last movie you watched' thread. At first I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy it but as soon as the first scenes with toothless and hiccup started I was in awe. There are no real surprises here apart from one right at the end which was quite bold but to say anymore would be a spoiler but everything worked. The music was great, the humour was minimal but ocassionally I chuckled. The animation and effects were absolutely stunning. The scenes where it showed from a first person view on the dragon were jaw dropping and much more impressive than avatar IMO. This movie had so much heart and I generally felt moved in places. As you can tell I really really loved it.

Two very good insights, both elevated this film from beyond what is the typical MO for a Dreamworks film -- pop-culture gags, etc.

This movie actually had a lot of heart. :clap

I just saw this today, and it was amazing! Everyone has already said what there is to say, so if you haven't seen it go see it! :)

IS FRIDAY HERE YET?! SOOOOOO EXCITED! STILL THE BEST MOVIE OF THE YEAR!

So why is this coming out on a friday? i thought DVDs and other media released on Tuesdays?

I have no idea, but does anyone know of any exclusive editions out there?

Haven't seen any...maybe they are waiting for a future 3D release? I dunno, hope there is.

OH the 30 minute Bone Knapper extra is coming on Cartoon Network at 8 on the 14th! If you don't want to wait for a day to see it.
